RCC regrets that due to weather and COVID-19 risks, the weekend events scheduled to honor and recommit to the vision of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. will be rescheduled. We don’t yet have those dates, but as soon as we do, we will inform ticket-holders. RCC will announce this information to the general public as well. We are sorry to postpone these important gatherings to learn and be inspired, but we also recognize that Dr. King would want us to celebrate his commitment to racial and social justice every day, not just on his birthday. The meals that were to be distributed for the community lunch will be provided to the Embry Rucker Shelter.

A renowned expert on the American economy, Heather McGhee is one of the most brilliant and influential thinkers exploring inequality today. Both her viral TED talk and her instant New York Times bestseller The Sum of Us reveal the devastating true cost of racism – not just for people of color, but for everyone. Deeply stirring, intelligent and compassionate, McGhee’s talks offer us an actionable roadmap during one of the most critical – and the most troubled – periods in history.
After the Keynote, a self-contained take-home meal will be available to all ticketed patrons, which is included with your ticket. Meals are gluten-free, and a vegetarian option will be available.
There will be opportunity after the show to purchase their book "The Sum of Us" at the Box Office Window.
