The 23 year-old troubadour is inspired by his love of nature, fly fishing, and where he is at in life. Writers and artists such as Evan Felker, Charles Wesley Godwin, and John Denver have all played a part in Curt’s style of writing. As a young man trying to figure out this ever-changing world, and as a young artist trying to put his foot indoor, Curt took a step to record his first studio record back in Febr the industry’s uary. With West Virginia producer Zach McCord, the EP is a handful of songs targeted to those who aspire to get out of the small town that many get stuck in. Taking that leap, Curt drove to Phoenix, AZ after recording and has been living there since, playing shows around the area. With plans of heading back out west after time in NY, Curt has his sights on making the most out of anything that comes his way, writing as much as he can, and growing as an artist and a person.

GTBB's new album Shine debuted at #1 on the Billboard Blues Chart. Recently headlining the blues stage at The Montreal Jazz Festival and appearing at The Lucerne Blues Festival in Switzerland, Beale Street’s latest success story, 5-time Blues Blast Music Award Nominee and International Blues Challenge Runner-up is Ghost Town Blues Band. Not your grandpa’s blues band, their live show has been captivating audiences in the U.S., Canada and Europe with their "second-line horn entrance," cigar box guitars and electric push brooms to Allman Brothers style jams and even a hip-hop trombone player. The band's stage show and energy is unparalleled and has been called the best new live blues show in the world.

Horns, harmonies and homegrown instruments combined with an energetic and roots rich festival set makes Ghost Town Blues Band one of the “must see live bands on the festival scene today.” Both Andrew McNeill behind the drums and Matt Karner on the bass guitar are a punishing rhythm section behind multi-instrumentalist/frontman Matt Isbell with raunchy cigar box guitar licks and raspy "Dr. John-like, whiskey and gravel-soaked vocals." With the addition of Trombonist Suavo Jones, Cedric Taylor on B3 and Taylor Orr on lead guitar, the grooves go from fresh to funky as the band gains more notoriety in the blues festival and jam circuit. Ghost Town Blues Band has performed all across US and Canada at over 100+ festivals and will perform more than a half-dozen international tours in Canada and Europe in 2019.

    PERFORMANCE DESCRIPTION

MÆSØNIC is a daring collective of three Boulder/Denver-based DJs performing shoulder-to-shoulder to bring you the boldest and best of electronic music. In point of fact, MÆSØNIC was conceived from a dare to bring a dancehall charity event for VEL. This dare would ultimately give rise to the inaugural MÆSØNIC performance and the wildly successful “Show Me Love–A Night of EDM”. Since then, the collective has gained considerable traction, with the boys notching numerous performances across the Front Range and earning coveted slots at the upcoming Electric Forest festival. For “Road to EF”, MÆSØNIC returns to the place where it all began to throw a party in celebration of our friends, families, and fans who have helped bring the MÆSØNIC sound into the future for their first ever festival gig.

MÆSØNIC is comprised of DJs shares, TooMAS, and NeitSwetz. Shares was a firmly established artist long before MÆSØNIC was conceived. He has solidified his reputation as a world class DJ by architecting sets that span countless bass-forward genres, most notably house, techno and hip-hop. He has built a devoted following from his performances at both major league venues and corporate events, as well as from his prolific output of sought-after edits and mashups. After years of honing his musical predilections in the underground, TooMAS has emerged as an artist with an ear towards euphoric big room trance, big beat house rhythms, and nostalgic throwbacks that drop like a hammer. TooMAS’ recent musical exploits have been steeped in the exploration of new sonic territory by combining live-integrated hardware with music performance software. NeitSwetz expression of electronic music can be exemplified by his passion for indie dance music and his deep devotion to the bass guitar. His decades of experience playing in an alternative rock band, as well as the heavy influence of crucial artists (Chemical Brothers, Radiohead, etc.) have ignited his desire to move the crowd with both cavernous bass and intricate melody

Praised by National Public Radio for their "upbeat, poppy vibe; energetic, driving rhythms; and virtuosic solos,” Twisted Pine [Boston] takes traditional music in exhilarating directions. "We’re rooted in bluegrass," writes bassist Chris Sartori, "continually inspired by explorers like Bela Fleck, Jerry Douglas, and Sierra Hull. Our bluegrass is jazzy, our indie folk is poppy, our grooves are funky."  Twisted Pine is Kathleen Parks on fiddle and lead vocals, Dan Bui on mandolin, Sartori on bass, and Anh Phung on flute. You may have caught Twisted Pine at Telluride, RockyGrass, MeadowGrass, WinterWondergrass. Their most recent release is the cosmic full-length Right Now [Signature Sounds Recordings], which The Boston Herald called "progressive bluegrass or maybe chamber folk, or prog rock, or jazz fusion or just pop with an experimental bent. Whatever the genre, give the group a bluegrass Grammy for good measure."  Twisted Pine will be releasing another full-length record in October.

"Definitely a band to watch" -- NPR

“Instrumental virtuosity — the band’s calling card — abounds on their latest album, Right Now, but so too do moments of sheer pop glory, funky all-day grooves, and spacecraft sonics.” -- No Depression

“Twisted Pine doesn’t just break the rules, they rewrite them.” -- Glide

“Each member of this band is a runaway freight train of talent on their own, but together the jubilance of sound they unleash on a crowd is something to be marvelled.” -- Red Line Roots

Tonewood String Band is an original psychedelic bluegrass band based in Denver, CO. Founded in 2021, Tonewood emphasizes heartfelt original songwriting, powerful vocal harmonies, and heady instrumental jams over a driving progressive bluegrass backbone. The group consists of George Sepmeier (Violin, Mandolin), Evan Shely (Guitar), Elijah Donovan (Banjo), Matt Thomas (Upright Bass) and Steve Lisi (Percussion). They’ve shared stages with notable local and national acts including The Fretliners, Chicken Wire Empire, and Liver Down the River among many others. Tonewood is charting new sonic territory this year with plans to record new original songs and performances at notable events including Tico Time Bluegrass Festival and Palisade Bluegrass & Roots Festival.

    PERFORMANCE DESCRIPTION

Margo Cilker’s sophomore album, Valley of Heart’s Delight, refers to a place she can't return: California’s Santa Clara Valley, as it was known before the orchards were paved over and became more famous for Silicon than apricots. Margo is the fifth generation of Cilker’s born there, and in this 11-song collection, family and nature intertwine as guiding motifs, at once precious and endangered, beautiful and exhausting. The trees here are family trees, or they’re apricot trees, but suburban sprawl isn’t looking good for either. Cilker moved from California to the Pacific Northwest in her mid-twenties and wrote much of Valley of Heart's Delight while living in Enterprise, Oregon, a small town near the Snake River and powered by the river’s massive, publicly-funded hydroelectric dams. The dams (part of the same system Woody Guthrie was hired to write about) provide clean electricity to much of the western US but make it extraordinarily difficult for anadromous fish (such as Steelhead Trout) to return from the ocean and spawn in their native streams. Valley Of Heart’s Delight feeds off of this tension - how we live in and off of nature, how we live within and without family, and why we return to the places we were born.

Cilker and producer Sera Cahoone’s work on her critically acclaimed Pohorylle debut earned its accolades for lyric-focused production and understated musicianship. The pair maintain this approach on Valley of Heart’s Delight, bringing back the same crew to the same studio in Vancouver, Washington: Cahoone (Sub Pop, Carissa’s Weird, Band Of Horses) drums and produces, John Morgan Askew (Neko Case, Laura Gibson) engineers, Jenny Conlee-Drizos (The Decemberists) provides piano, organ, and accordion, Rebecca Young (Lindsey Fuller) plays bass, Kelly Pratt (Beirut) on horns, and of course, sister Sarah Cilker contributes harmonies. Those in need of more twang will appreciate the addition of Paul Brainard’s (M. Ward, Richmond Fontaine) pedal steel and telecaster work, Annie Staninec's (Mary Gauthier) fiddle, and the mandolin and high lonesome harmony of Portland country standard-bearer Caleb Klauder. Cilker also branched out in her song-collecting, reeling in a cover (“Steelhead Trout”) by Idaho native Ben Walden, ostensibly because of artistic and thematic reasons, but also because, in Cilker’s words, “it’s a damn good song and I wanted to record it.” Walden also sings and plays harmonica on the track.

Mamma’s Marmalade draws from acoustic traditions spanning Appalachia and the Ozarks to craft a sound that manages to be at once familiar and definitively fresh. Honeyed harmonies buoy the classic high-lonesome croon of lead vocalist Lily Sexton, sailing above a whirling reel of steel string sonics and pop melody. Mamma’s Marmalade started in a UMass dorm room when Sexton (fiddle) and Mitch Bordage (mandolin) bonded over bluegrass. Tenacious flatpicker Sean Davis caught their attention at an open mic in 2016, and the band released their debut album Goodbye, Black Velvet, the following summer. In 2019 the band released their sophomore LP Rockabee Fields. Following Rockabee Fields they welcomed bassist Dan Bisson to their musical family. They’ve spent years honing improv skills, instrumental tone, harmony arranging, rhythm and energy to create a compelling live show. Regardless of their relative virtuosity at the beginning of their adventure, today Mamma’s Marmalade is composed of a group of artists that know how to work together as one. Their third studio album, Rabbit Analog, was released August 2021. They released ambitious cover project Fakin It: Covers Deserving Coverage in 2022, a feat of collaboration with Jacob Jolliff, Twisted Pine, and other talented pals. Joine

    It all started when…

Two passionate artists met at an all women’s music festival in 2022. Austin-based cellist, Mollie Fischer, and touring singer-songwriter, Tiffany Christopher performed in multiple acts that weekend together and quickly became fans of each other’s musicality. Within a few weeks TC was inviting Mollie to jump in the sprinter and join her on tour around the Southwest.

There is something so deep and honest about the energy these two humans manifest together on stage. It’s heavy like the mountain, yet as fluid and playful as the ocean. Multi-instruments, loops, improv, harmonies…somewhere between folk/rock, hip-hop and americana this duo is coming to move you.

It was Leo Tolstoy who said “All great literature is one of two stories; a man goes on a journey or a stranger comes to town,” and in the case of Andrew Duhon and his latest album Emerald Blue, both instances are true. Duhon temporarily left New Orleans, his longtime home and musical muse in 2019, finding himself inspired by the landscape of the Pacific Northwest and notably, its colors—a hue he describes as ‘emerald blue’ for which the album is named, the same shade looking back at him in his partner’s eyes. Had he overlooked the specific shade of her eyes while living below sea level? Or did the change of location open his mind more acutely? The record does just that: examine the familiar in the context of the unfamiliar. Emerald Blue is a probing appreciation of the dailiness of life; a note-taking exercise in living.

Duhon channeled his new perspective into an eleven song collection, calling on friends and collaborators including Jano Rix on drums, percussion, and harmonies; Myles Weeks on upright and electric basses and harmonies; and Dan Walker on keys and accordion. Duhon returned South for the recording process, finding comfort and creativity in Maurice, Louisiana’s storied Dockside Studios with GRAMMY-award winning engineer and longtime collaborator of Andrew’s, Trina Shoemaker, to capture every inch of vibe and beauty and texture each song had to offer.

Good Music Medicine is an original Roots Rock band based in Boulder, Colorado playing venues along the front range. Thomas Dow on Lead Vocals and Guitar. Scott Wright on Drums and Vocals. Kit Sawyer of Lead Guitar and Vocals. Rick Franz on Bass Guitar and Vocals. These days GMM is also looking to tour more broadly and reaching out to mountain communities and in all directions. Good Music Medicine is a quartet led by Thomas Dow, the lead singer and writer. Occasionally they add horns or percussion when budgets allow for a more robust party. GMM plays to “fit the room”, at appropriate volumes and feel, so we can provide ambiance behind a dinner, or rock a huge field. Whatever is needed! GGM plays; bars, restaurants, theaters, festivals, fairs, work parties, private parties and more! The music is funky, bluesy, dance-able, hooky, jammy, and Thomas speaks heart-warmingly to audiences, uplifting and raising the vibration. The band is tons of fun! They are consistently invited back to the venues they play. “We always entertain and give a lot of love to patrons and hosts”, says Thomas. “We actively advertise all our gigs and draw upon our fan base to fill shows.”
