PERFORMANCE DESCRIPTION

LIVE ON STAGE!

Tampa Theatre and AEG Presents are proud to announce that R&B / soul singer Allen Stone is making Tampa Theatre a stop on his An Evening with Allen Stone Tour at 8:30pm Sunday, Jan. 16.

The son of the pastor of the local church in Chewelah, WA, Stone was immersed in gospel from an early age until he found funk and soul as a teenager through Stevie Wonder’s Innervisions. Billboard has praised his “disarmingly soulful vocals” and WXPN says "his energetic shows, plus his warm and evocative albums, explain why Stone has such a solid fan base."

Allen released his 3rd studio album, Building Balance, in 2019, which includes hit songs “Brown Eyed Lover,” “Sunny Days,” and “Consider Me.” Building Balance is a textured amalgam of R&B and soul, which saw Stone draw inspiration from ‘70s funk and punctuate his music with modern pop flourishes.

His latest release, a cover of Bob Marley’s “Is This Love,” is the first song off his upcoming acoustic album APART, due to releases November 12th. “This album was a way to pay homage to the songs that have been my foundational support for the last decade, and to also pay homage to all the people who’ve loved these songs over the years,” says Stone.

He has performed on Jimmy Kimmel Live!, as well as the Special Olympics opening ceremony and NPR’s Tiny Desk, and he has been a guest mentor on American Idol. For more information, visit www.allenstone.com

Tickets range from $29.50-$44.50, plus applicable fees ($34.50-$49.50 total at the Box Office  and $38.00-$53.50 total online).

A limited number of VIP tickets will also be available in advance for $145 plus applicable fees and taxes, which include one excellent seat location in the first ten rows, intimate pre-show soundcheck party featuring “Ask Allen Anything” Q&A, exclusive Allen Stone-branded soccer scarf, signed limited-edition tour poster, commemorative pre-show laminate, and merchandise shopping opportunity before doors open to the public.
PLEASE NOTE: You will be asked to arrive several hours before show time for the VIP event. Details will be sent a few days before the show.

PERFORMANCE DESCRIPTION

LIVE ON STAGE!

Bruce Dickinson is considered one of the world’s most storied musicians. Aside from decades spent delivering high-octane performances with his larger-than-life persona in IRON MAIDEN, Bruce has lived an extraordinary off-stage existence too.

A true polymath, his accomplishments include: pilot and airline captain, aviation entrepreneur, beer brewer, motivational speaker, podcaster, film scriptwriter, twice-published novelist and New York Times Top 10 best-selling author, radio presenter, TV actor, sports commentator and international fencer… to name but a few. So there’s plenty to be entertained by throughout the evening’s cornucopia of fascinating tales and derring-do exploits, all delivered by Bruce with characteristically infectious enthusiasm and wry wit.

Split into two parts, the first section of the show sees Bruce taking a humorous and often satirical look at the world from his own very personal perspective, treating the audience to private insights into his drive and ambition, peppered with plenty of Maiden anecdotes, and a myriad of other experiences encompassing not just the giddy heights but also the extreme lows, told first-hand in his inimitable anarchic style, punctuated with photographs and sometimes even erupting into song a cappella, to illustrate a point.

The final section of the evening is devoted entirely to a Q&A session, with the opportunity to pose questions on any subject whatsoever. As Bruce’s answers will all be completely improvised – the more left-field and quirky the question, the more interesting and compelling the response is likely to be!

Don’t miss out on this unique opportunity to spend an up-close and personal evening with one of the world’s most captivating icons in an intimate environment, as Bruce Dickinson brings his Evening With show to the U.S. for the very first time, where you are guaranteed a highly entertaining and enjoyable night out and may even go home inspired to try something new.

Tickets range from $34.50-$59.50, plus applicable fees ($39.50-$64.50 total at the Box Office & $43.25-$69.25 online) Ticket pricing increases on the day of the show to $40.00-$65.00, plus applicable fees ($45.00-70.00 total at the Box Office & $49.00-$75.00 online).

Citizen Cope – aka Clarence Greenwood – is an American songwriter / producer. He has released seven studio LP's that have garnered him a loyal following despite never being fully embraced by mainstream media and commercial radio.

Describing his music is difficult, he's been inspired by artists such as John Lennon and Stevie Wonder to Bob Marley and Outkast. Citizen Cope's compositions have been recorded by Carlos Santana, Dido and Richie Havens. In 20 years of touring, he has built a devout following, performing at sold out theaters and ballrooms across the country. Over time, Cope's music has become the soundtrack to the lives of those who have embraced it and he continues to inspire audiences through what can only be described as deep personal connection

1h 46m / PG / Musical Drama

Hugh Jackman plays P.T. Barnum in The Greatest Showman, the 2017 musical celebration of the life of one of America’s true original entertainment pioneers, the producer of the most famous touring circus in history, and the spiritual godfather of marketing.

A worshipful celebration of the joy and equalizing power of show business (and featuring songs by Benj Pasek and Justin Paul, who composed for that other big love letter to showbiz, La La Land), The Greatest Showman presents a slightly sanitized-for-public-consumption version of Barnum’s history – but who cares? It’s pure delight, song and dance and romance all the way through, and its message that everyone deserves to be celebrated just as they are is definitely worth singing to the rafters about. Just like Barnum would have wanted, audiences are transported into a fantasy of spectacle and music for 90+ minutes, and hopefully leave with a fuller appreciation for the magic in their own lives.

Showman-inspired costumes are welcome when you come “follow the bouncing top hat” and add your voice to the flying circus of fantastic songs onscreen at the most requested, most successful sing-along in Tampa Theatre history!

LIVE ON STAGE!

Tampa Theatre and Sun Events are proud to announce that
7 Bridges: The Ultimate EAGLES Experience is coming LIVE to Tampa Theatre at 7:00pm Saturday, Feb. 19.

7 Bridges: The Ultimate EAGLES Experience is a stunningly accurate tribute to the music of the Eagles. Using no backing tracks or harmonizers, 7 Bridges faithfully re-creates the experience of an Eagles concert from the band’s most prolific period. Every show features one brilliant hit single after another with some mighty Don Henley, Glenn Frey and Joe Walsh surprises sprinkled into the mix. 7 Bridges offers the perfect blend of songs to capture all levels of Eagles devotees.

Combining incredible musicianship, vocal precision and a stage presence that has garnered them nationwide acclaim, the band features Jay Sweet as Glenn Frey, Keith Thoma as Don Henley, Joe Sax as Randy Meisner/Timothy B. Schmit, Richie Scholl as the eccentric and unpredictable Joe Walsh, Brian Franklin as guitar wizard Don Felder, and Vernon Roop as Joe Vitale, the often unsung hero of many Eagles studio albums and live performances.

Tickets range from $29.00-$65.00, plus taxes and applicable fees, and will go on sale at 10:00am Friday, Oct. 15 at the historic Franklin Street Box Office and online at www.tampatheatre.org.

LIVE ON STAGE!

Turn on your radio and hide.

Called “a geeky cultural gem” by CBC, WELCOME TO NIGHT VALE is a twice-monthly podcast in the style of community updates for the small desert town of Night Vale, featuring local weather, news, announcements from the Sheriff's Secret Police, mysterious lights in the night sky, dark hooded figures with unknowable powers, and cultural events. Or, as The New York Times put it, “With its uncanny blend of the macabre and the mundane, the news out of Night Vale sounds like what might occur if Stephen King or David Lynch was a guest producer at your local public radio station.”

Bringing the podcast to life on Tampa Theatre’s historic stage, this new THE HAUNTING OF NIGHT VALE tour stars Cecil Baldwin, Symphony Sanders, and Meg Bashwiner, and features original music by Disparition.  “Our live show is a completely stand-alone story that can be enjoyed by long-time fans and newcomers alike,” the Night Vale folks say.

Tickets range from $27.50-$39.50 plus applicable fees (from $32.50-$44.50 total at the Box Office & from $36-$48.50 total online), and will go on sale at 10:00am Friday, June 18.

Ruth Eckerd Hall On The Road and Tampa Theatre are proud to welcome Todrick Hall to the Tampa Theatre stage at 8:00pm Friday, April 15.

In June, Hall celebrated Pride with the release of his new album, Femuline. The album’s lead single, “Boys In The Ocean,” is an irresistible funk jam that rides along an infectious bassline and guitar licks, primed for summer escapism. Femuline follows Hall’s 2020 EP Quarantine Queen and exudes a new confidence and power, with plenty of dancefloor-ready tracks. Hall’s magnetic charisma shines through and his cheeky lyricism is an embodiment of his larger-than-life persona.

Hall says, “It has taken me years and years, even after coming out, to be this comfortable embracing my masculine and feminine sides. I'm so excited to give people permission to live as their fullest and truest selves with this music that I handcrafted specifically for the gay community. But I also feel that my music will resonate with people of all age groups and from all backgrounds."
