After forming in Buffalo in 2006, Aqueous (pronounced "ay-kwee-us") has earned a reputation as one of the most promising improvisational rock acts in the country. Best known for their "groove rock" stylings, guitarist Mike Gantzer, guitarist/keyboardist David Loss, bassist Evan McPhaden, and drummer Rob Houk have developed a unique sound characterized by meticulous compositions and rich exploratory jams that easily transition from laidback, in-the-pocket grooves to furious, high-intensity peaks. Composed of longtime friends, over the years, Aqueous' members have developed near-psychic abilities with one another, enabling them to stretch each song while maintaining a staggering degree of precision. In a live setting, the group's undeniable technical prowess truly shines, making for dynamic performances that bring fans back night after night.

Sierra Hull

Sierra Hull has been recognized from age 11 as a virtuoso mandolin-player, astonishing audiences and fellow-musicians alike. Now a seasoned touring musician nearing her mid-20s, Hull has delivered her most inspired, accomplished, and mature recorded work to date; no small feat. Weighted Mind is a landmark achievement, not just in Sierra Hull's career, but in the world of folk-pop, bluegrass, and acoustic music overall. With instrumentation comprised largely of mandolin, bass, and vocals, this is genre-transcending music at its best, with production by Béla Fleck and special harmony vocal guests Alison Krauss, Abigail Washburn, and Rhiannon Giddens adding to the luster. Hull speaks eloquently, in her challenging and sensitive originals, her heartfelt vocals, and once again breaks new ground on the mandolin. Béla Fleck special guests on banjo on two tracks and duo partner, Ethan Jodziewicz, not only anchors the record on bass, but introduces us to a major new instrumental voice.

Even among the pantheon of music's finest artists, Del McCoury stands alone. From the nascent sound of bluegrass that charmed hardscrabble hillbilly honkytonks, rural schoolhouse stages, and the crowning glory of the Grand Ole Opry to the present-day culture-buzz of viral videos and digital streams, Del is the living link. On primetime and late-night television talk shows, there is Del. From headlining sold-out concerts to music festivals of all genres, including one carrying his namesake, there is Del. Where audiences number in the tens of thousands, and admirers as diverse as country-rock icon Steve Earle and jamband royalty Phish count as two among hundreds, there is Del.

Thunderpussy

Thunderpussy is more than a band; they are a reckoning. As rock n' roll's new, self-proclaimed, Diamond In The Muff... Thunderpussy is a shiny beacon of glitter and sequins at the end of a long dark tunnel of manufactured mediocrity. If it's pure titillating rock n' roll you want, then look no further than this band of women from Seattle,Washington.

The group unleashed its self-titled debut, Thunderpussy [Stardog Records/Republic Records] in 2018 and snatched up over 4 million cumulative streams. In between electrifying gigs coast-to-coast, they garnered widespread acclaim from the likes of Paste, Rolling Stone, Billboard, LA Music Blog, and NPR who claimed, "Thunderpussy is everything you want in rock." Simultaneously, a heated trademark battle over their name incited national headlines as they clung to free speech, fighting for the "power of the word 'pussy' and finally not classifying it as vulgar or weak," as guitarist, Whitney Petty, says.

In 2019, they inch closer to accomplishing a shared and crucial mission.

"I want people to say, 'Rock 'n' roll is not dead, and you don't have to have a penis to make it'," exclaims Whitney.

"This is another push for people to feel empowered," adds frontwoman, Molly Sides. "It's not just for women, but for people who feel like they've been pushed aside. We'd love for them to feel more comfortable yelling our name out loud with a certain kind of pride and excitement. We're here to spark more conversation within art and music. That's the goal with everything we're doing."

They most definitely do so on their latest EP, Milk It, where they welcomed various drummers to participate in recording. Most notably, Red Hot Chili Peppers skinsman Chad Smith begged to join the party.

"I said, 'You don't have a vagina'," exclaims Molly. "He said, 'How do you know?'"

They never found out if he was lying or not, but he did play on "Powerhouse," which serves as a heartfelt dedication to "a real female superhero" who Molly calls mom. Elsewhere, "On the Line" serves as "a love song" from Molly to Whitney.

Meanwhile, the first single "Never Know" trucks along on a bedroom-shaking riff and come hither verses before climaxing on a squealing solo.

"We came out swinging on there," exclaims Whitney. "It's a bit raunchy. It's about sex, female power, female positivity, and female orgasms."

"It's about making them not faking them," adds Molly.

In the end, Thunderpussy will ruffle a lot more feathers to come on their own journey into the history books.

William Clark Green w/ Austin Meade

With two critically esteemed album releases already under his belt, William Clark Green is back and this time it is getting personal. Give Green a pen and paper and he is a lyrical force to be reckoned with. On his critically acclaimed third release, Rose Queen, he is puts it all on the line and makes absolutely no apologies. "Songwriting is reality. People are scared to put reality on paper, but this is 10 times more reality than my past work," he explains bluntly. The past few years have been consumed with Green touring heavily in the booming Texas scene and persistently writing a plethora of songs that are pulled from true to life experiences. Green has adamantly pushed his boundaries as a writer revealing, "Songwriting is exactly what is in your heart, in my opinion, it is not about writing a hit. It is about revealing your heart and your feelings on the paper."

The music on Rose Queen ranges from the familiar Cajan flare he is known for on "Let's Go" to the highly reflective and introspective "Welcome to the Family." In the candidly honest lead single, "It's About Time," Will tackles the harsh reality that a significant relationship must end. He explains, "I think the new record will connect with a certain demographic of people who have been effected by something in their lives and therefore can identify with my stories."

Not only has Green raised the bar with his seasoned writing and musicianship, he also enlisted a team of powerhouses to mold his full package of artistry. Music industry veteran Rachel Loy was recruited to undertake producing the new record. Green declares, "I was sold on her in just 30 minutes. She installs confidence and challenges me to be better." Also, in the last year he signed with new management, 415 Entertainment, as well as landed a booking deal with Nashville's Paradigm Agency. For the first time, Green embraced the nature of co-writing and included 4 tracks of co-writes on the new album.

William Clark Green is definitely no stranger to the music scene; he knew at the ripe age of 13 that he would embrace his passion and work vigorously in order to make a name for himself. As a 7th grader with substantial ambition, he began receiving guitar lessons and spending free time with his cousin writing music and bouncing ideas off of one another. Green draws inspiration from his personal musical hero Willis Allan Ramsey, as well as his father who Green has fond memories of with a guitar in hand.

While attending college at Texas Tech University, Green played for a live audience whenever he could and steadily gained notoriety on the Texas music scene. He credits the Blue Light in Lubbock as his unofficial home, where he spent many nights honing on his craft and gaining a loyal army of followers.

Rose Queen has already marked a number of milestones for the young storyteller. The debut single, "It's About Time", was welcomed at radio with open arms and earned William's first Top Ten song on Texas Radio. The momentum did not stop there as his follow up single, "She Likes The Beatles," recently scored the #1 position on both the Texas Music Chart (TMC) and the Texas Regional Radio Report (TRRR) in seemingly the blink of an eye. At this rate, the sky is the limit as everyone waits to see what William Clark Green has up his sleeve next. The full album released on April 30, 2013.

Satsang w/ A Brother's Fountain

A Sanskrit word meaning "in the company of truth."

It's a beautiful moment when music from the heart and poetry from the soul truly connects with its intended audience. For Satsang lead singer and songwriter Drew McManus, that moment occurred on a 2018 tour through the Midwest, Northeast and Pacific Coast in which two-thirds of the band's dates sold out. That's when the truth hits home for McManus that his soulful, reggae-infused blend of folk-rock and melodic hip hop and its message of strength, growth and resilience is his testimony to the world - and the world is finally listening.

Nobide points to "not biding time," taking every opportunity to engage with life via sound, color and wonder.

The Expendables - Winter Blackout Tour w/ Bumpin Uglies, Artikal Sound System, Of Good Nature

The Expendables enjoyed a laid-back lifestyle growing up in Santa Cruz, CA; surfing, skating, partying, and playing music were commonplace. Since 1997, The Expendables have staked their claim in the California surf/rock genre by headlining venues from coast to coast. Blending Reggae, Punk Rock, and 80s style dueling guitar solos, The Expendables have made heads turn and floors shake for years.

The band consists of four longtime friends: Geoff Weers (Guitar and Vocals), Adam Patterson (Drums and Vocals), Raul Bianchi (Lead Guitar) and Ryan DeMars (Bass). The first seven years of their career was fueled with three full-length, completely independent releases. No Time To Worry (2000), Open Container (2001), and Gettin' Filthy (2004), would bring in a combined total of over 40,000 units sold with no physical distribution and no record label.

Nicki Bluhm Trio feat Scott Law & Ross James w/ Lyle Divinsky (of The Motet)

After spending the last six years as lead singer and front person of Nicki Bluhm and the Gramblers, Nicki has stepped out on her own with her new album, TO RISE YOU GOTTA FALL. Recorded in Memphis at legendary Sam Phillips Recording, Bluhm brought in producer Matt Ross-Spang (Margo Price, Jason Isbell), and the end result heralds Nicki's arrival as a songwriter and vocalist of great depth and immediacy.

TO RISE YOU GOTTA FALL is a chronicle of Bluhm's state of mind following both a divorce and a separation from the only band she had ever known. Said Bluhm, "These songs are quite personal. They are the conversations I never got to have, the words I never had the chance to say, and the catharsis I wouldn't have survived without."

TO RISE YOU GOTTA FALL is imbued with a Southern sensibility and echoes the musical heritage of that city. From the plaques on the walls for Johnny Cash and Elvis Presley to the analog tape machines, Sam Phillips Recording is largely unchanged since it was built in 1958.

Bluhm made a decision to challenge herself -- to leave all her old working relationships and routines behind for a fresh start. Nicki Bluhm, newly inspired songwriter and solo artist, is enjoying Nashville, her new band, and the challenge of establishing herself on her own.

Look a'here, I had no plans to become a comedienne. Tennessee raised me to be a musician, but my divorce raised me to be really sarcastic. Top it off with a Snapchat filter and what you have is pure hilarity that, on a dare, was posted to social media and now has been viewed more than 300 million times. What people call a "viral phenomenon," I like to call real-life preservation. Now I have a website, a new album, a tour bus, and a book. Welcome to it all!

From failed diets to dating in my 40s, I have seen it all and I have the airbrushed T-shirts to prove it. The challenges in my life (and in the aisles of Walmart) have provided stories that will have you belly laughing - especially from the time I moved back in with my parents as a grown woman with two children. In September 2017, I had about three friends on Facebook and now all of you crazy people are the center of my universe - 2.4 million to be exact. I love what I get to call a job everyday: finding the funny in the frustrating and reminding us all to laugh at ourselves.

I love my people, good coffee, boho clothes, good music, and Joanna Gaines. When I am not traveling for "i ain't doin it" shows, you can find me at home outside of Nashville, Tennessee writing music, homeschooling two amazing teenagers (who shall remain nameless because they are embarrassed by the air I breathe), and launching my new book, which is available now.

On Thursday December 17, 2015, Vanessa Carlton took the stage in front of a packed audience at 3rd & Lindsley in Nashville, TN for the final date of the year's "Liberman" Tour.

At that moment, she'll candidly admit that countless thoughts swirled around in her head-"I was feeling pretty emotional about how far I've come." Here, the singer and songwriter was back in her new home of Nashville, TN surrounded by family and fans, 15 years into an illustrious career, and supporting her most acclaimed work to date, Liberman. Just two months earlier, the album arrived to unanimous critical praise from Rolling Stone, Entertainment Weekly, Boston Globe, Nylon, Paste, Esquire, and many more in addition to Pitchfork who claimed, "A million years ago, Vanessa Carlton released 'A Thousand Miles,' the pop song that launched a generation of piano lessons. Now, she''s releasing the raw, muted, refreshingly weird Liberman, a record that could share headspaces with Perfume Genius or Angel Olsen."
