GENERAL ADMISSION Public Onsale: May 31, 2024 10:00 AM to October 11, 2024 6:30 PM

    PERFORMANCE DESCRIPTION

Tony Starlight shall Neil before thee!

Tony Starlight’s wildly popular Neil Diamond Experience is back this October with a special tribute to Neil Diamond’s classic double-live album Hot August Night.

WHY IS HOT AUGUST NIGHT SO IMPORTANT?

Any great concert performance elevates the source material. Most concerts today are a visual medium and although they might put on a great stage production with dancers, explosions and video screens, you'd never listen to the concert independently because its basically indistinguishable from the recordings (or IS the recordings!) From the first song on Hot August Night, "Crunchy Granola Suite", the music is the star and the live versions unanimously outshine the original recordings. The emotion of performing to and connecting with a live audience is a special gift that not all artists have. Hot August Night captures Neil at just the right time, where he has a writing and performing history that makes him professional, but he is not yet an icon caught in the trappings of fame and fortune. There's a hunger and urgency to the performance that it is rare to capture on tape.

Neil Diamond is one of the few elite artists like Frank Sinatra, Elton John and The Beatles who transcend generations. Three or four generations can come to a concert and each can connect to the music on their own terms.

Neil Diamond’s music unites people from multiple generations. It speaks to people’s soul. Of all the music that I sing, across multiple genres, nothing gets an audience going like a Neil Diamond song.

The Tony Starlight Neil Diamond Experience differs from similar tributes in three key ways:
    1) Musically it is a faithful rendition of Neil in his heyday with no prerecorded tracks. Tony’s Neil voice is spot on, in both tone and inflection. Hear for yourself.

    2) The show doesn’t take itself too seriously. Tony is a musical comedian, so the show is a fun mix of music and comedy.  And sing-a-long!

    3) It is in a seated concert setting, NOT a “stand-like-sardines-for-two-hours-in-a-venue-that-thinks-all-you-want-to-hear-is-drums-and-bass.”

    Tony Starlight: Vocals and guitar
    Craig Bidondo: Piano
    Frank DiGiovanni: Keyboards
    Nick O’Donnell: Guitar
    Dennis Caiazza: Bass
    Barbara Ayars: Vocals
    Thea Enos: Vocals

    PERFORMANCE DESCRIPTION

Leapin’ Louie Lichtenstein uses circus, cowboy tricks, a six foot unicycle, and lots of comedy to explore all those wild critters, including us, who fly.

In 400 million years five amazing groups of animals developed flight: Insects, pterosaurs, birds, bats and finally —humans.  Only 66 years after the Wright Brothers invented the airplane, —we landed on the moon.   We’re moving so fast! Can we leave enough room for our amazing wild ecosystems as we jet into the future?

You’ve seen him flinging rope, whips and craziness at the White Album Christmas.  Leapin’ Louie is a master of physical comedy, trick roping, whip cracking, and juggling. He has performed  one-person Leapin’ Louie shows in 35 different countries around the world, including many tours in Europe, Japan, and Australia.

Leapin’ Louie has decided to turn his comedy and cowboy circus skills towards the celebration of the wild diversity of animals on this beautiful planet.  It’s weird and fun.

“Lichtenstein, a multi-talented performer, has to be seen to be believed.”
    --The Oregonian

“‘Awesome’ is a terrible word, but there’s no shame using it – in the truest sense – to describe Leapin’ Louie”  Broadway Baby  â˜† ☆ ☆ ☆ (Edinburgh Fringe Festival)

“it's the Wild West lasso-wielding clown Leapin' Louie Lichtenstein who's going to make the $20 price tag well worth your time. The man is freaking amazing. The crowd lost it after every one of his acts—from the 20-foot diameter lasso he swung overhead while riding a super-tall unicycle, to the bull whip he cracked at the front row's faces.”  --Portland Mercury

    PERFORMANCE DESCRIPTION
There’s a lot going more on in the skies that’s affecting climate than just fossil fuel emissions increasing CO2! Particles in the atmosphere — like smoke from fires and pollution from engines and industrial activities — are affecting our climate. Yet, their influence on climate might surprise you – they actually act to cool the planet and “mask” some of the greenhouse gas warming.

Research scientist Dr. Sarah Doherty will talk about how particles in the atmosphere are already affecting climate, how these influences are likely to change in the future, and whether these effects can be leveraged to rapidly reduce global warming to avoid many of the negative impacts of climate change.

    What are the ideas?

    What’s being done so far?

Why are scientists considering these ideas?

This talk will discuss the current climate trajectory, and why cutting emissions alone won’t be enough to keep global warming from exceeding the 1.5-2 C of warming that scientists have identified as “dangerous levels of climate change”.

Dr. Sarah Doherty is a Senior Research Scientist at the University of Washington. Her interest in atmospheric science began with a year of work in Antarctica, where she was helping make measurements to better understand the ozone hole. Since getting her PhD, much of her research has involved making measurements of smoke and pollution in different parts of the world, including off the coasts of Africa, China, India, and the Arctic, and understanding how they affect climate. She has also been involved with multiple scientific assessments, including the U.S. National Climate Assessment and two international assessments of the state of the ozone layer.

    PERFORMANCE DESCRIPTION

Hailed by American Songwriter as “one of America’s most intriguing, creative, and idiosyncratic voices,”
Eilen Jewell rises from the ashes on her captivating new album, Get Behind The Wheel, picking up the pieces of her shattered world and finding new purpose and meaning after watching her marriage, her band, and what felt like her entire career fall apart in a series of spectacular, heartbreaking implosions. Co-produced by multi-instrumental wizard Will Kimbrough (with Todd Snider and Hayes Carll), the collection pushes the acclaimed singer and songwriter’s trademark blend of vintage roots-noir into more psychedelic territory, with spacious, cinematic arrangements complementing her revelatory explorations of grief, loss, resilience, and redemption.

An Idaho native, Jewell built her career the old fashioned way, touring relentlessly with the kind of undeniable live show that converts the uninitiated into instant acolytes. Over the course of nine albums, she’s crisscrossed the globe countless times and shared bills with the likes of Lucinda Williams, Loretta Lynn, Mavis Staples, Wanda Jackson, George Jones, and Emmylou Harris. Rolling Stone lauded Jewell’s “clever writing,” while NPR declared that she has a “sweet and clear voice with a killer instinct lurking beneath the shiny surface,” and The Washington Post mused that “if Neko Case, Madeleine Peyroux and Billie Holiday had a baby girl who grew up to front a rockabilly band, she’d probably sound a lot like Eilen Jewell.”

In 2014, she wrote, produced, and starred in her own one-woman show, “My Mother Has 4 Noses,” which ran off-Broadway to rave reviews and was critics’ pick in all the New York and Theater press, including NY Times and Time Out.

She was also the recipient of a McKnight Artist Fellowship Grant in 2018, won the 2019 International Acoustic Music Award for Best Female Artist for “Put the Gun Down,” and was the competition’s overall grand prize winner. In 2020, she was awarded an Independent Music Award (IMA) for her EP, “Imposter.”

Brooke is currently writing songs for her own next album, as well as gearing up for live concert dates with her band.
