About the artist
Milen Parashkevov is an Instructor of Guitar at Campbell University and is an active performer. Parashkevov has won national and international recognition including: 2005 - winner of the Falletta International Guitar Composition Competition; 2003 - first prize at the Texas International Guitar Performance Competition; 2002 - second prize at the Appalachian Guitar Competition (Boone, NC); second prize at the Lachine Guitar Competition (Montreal, Canada); 1996 - fellowship for student honors at the Mozarteum (Salzburg, Austria); 1995 - second prize at the Plovdiv International Guitar Concerto Competition (Plovdiv, Bulgaria). His goal is to "broaden the scope of guitar students by encouraging them to improvise, compose, arrange for guitar and work with other musicians."
Plenty of free parking, right out in front of the Cultural Arts building. No need to feed the meters.
