While at Late Night, see the special exhibitions All the Eternal Love I Have for the Pumpkins and Truth: 24 frames per second.

All the Eternal Love I Have for the Pumpkins (2016) is one of artist Yayoi Kusama’s signature Infinity Mirror Rooms. This exhibition features the first mirror pumpkin room created by Kusama since 1991, and the only Infinity Mirror Room of its kind in a North American collection. All the Eternal Love I Have for the Pumpkins is a reflective chamber filled with a series of acrylic yellow gourds covered in black polka dots, one of Kusama’s frequently used symbols. Visitors will step inside the intimate mirrored space and fully immerse themselves in Kusama’s creation, becoming part of the art.

This special exhibition requires all individuals to have a timed ticket. Children 16 and under must be accompanied by an adult.

Truth: 24 frames per second

Truth: 24 frames per second brings together 24 pioneers of film and video and over six decades of work focused on pressing contemporary themes, such as race relations, political unrest, sexual identity, and the media, to explore the nature of truth and reality in contemporary life. Truth is the first major exhibition in the Museum’s history dedicated to time-based media and is inspired by the DMA’s film and video holdings. It includes the US debut of John Gerrard’s “Western Flag (Spindletop, Texas)” and the first worldwide showing of a newly restored version of Bruce Conner’s “REPORT,” which examines the assassination of JFK. Other artists and filmmakers featured in Truth include Ant Farm, Dara Birnbaum, Mark Bradford, James Coleman, Phil Collins, Willie Doherty, Omer Fast, Morgan Fisher, Coco Fusco, Tatiana Gaviola, Arthur Jafa, Zoe Leonard and Catherine Gund, Steve McQueen, Shirin Neshat, Pratibha Parmar, Ben Rivers, Rachel Rose, Anri Sala, Chick Strand, Jean-Marie Straub and Danièle Huillet, Anne Tallentire, and Rosemarie Trockel.
