PERFORMANCE DESCRIPTION
This Community Day is inspired by Ava DuVernay’s cinematic installation, August 28: A Day in the Life of the People. The film focuses on six significant historical events that transpired on the same date through the lens of the African American experience. These events will be celebrated with presentations, speakers, and hands-on activities for all ages.
