PERFORMANCE DESCRIPTION
The Camden Opera House presents the second installment of our new MaineMadeMusic series, Chris Ross and The North, with opener Travis James Humphrey.

ABOUT CHRIS ROSS:

If you enjoy Ray Lamontangne, Jason Isbell, or Bruce Springsteen, you'll be won over by the roots-rock power of Chris Ross and The North. Ross won the 2014 New England songwriter of the Year award, and the musicians forming The North provide a masterful blend of rock & roll swagger, a winning combination with Ross’s candid storytelling. Anchored by Ryan Curless (drums) and Caleb Sweet (bass), the rhythm section hits where you want it to, and hard – a fine tuned compatibility of artistic bonds reaching back to early childhood perceptible to the naked ear. Rounding out The North is guitarist Zachary Bence, a virtuoso with the ability to transition between ear-scorching guitar solos and beautiful sonic swells on the drop of a dime, his grace as a musician as boundless as his contribution to the band’s steady concord.

ABOUT TRAVIS JAMES HUMPHREY:

Travis James Humphrey has been called a ‘One-Man Honky Tonk Band’ and has opened shows for B.B. King, Ricky Skaggs, David Alan Coe, Roy Clark, Marty Stuart, Bill Chinnock, "Mad Dog" Blackberry Smoke, The Mallett Brothers Band, and many other fine artists. Originally from Northern Maine, Travis has released four studio albums.
