Hours: 10 a.m. to 9 p.m.   

Midway & Kidway rides open at 11 a.m. daily and the Midway will continue to operate for a minimum of one hour after the Ticket Plaza closes, or longer at the discretion of fair management. Kidway closes when the Ticket Plaza closes.

A fresh twist on a favorite event ~ join us on the Opening Night of the State Fair of Virginia for our Annual Black Tie & Boots. Boot-scoot and boogie, participate in the auction, and catch a ride on the Ferris wheel while supporting the State Fair of Virginia Scholarship Program in this exclusive event in Meadow Hall!

Come sample the Tastes of Virginia produced by Virginia's farmers and transformed into culinary delights by Celebrity Chefs at Meadow Hall.

Featured acclaimed chefs include chefs Kip Poole (The Big Brunch, Guy's Grocery Games), Tammy Brawley (Real Virginia, Green Kitchen) and Kaniyah Carey (Food Network's 2020 Baking Champion) Guests will have the chance to taste delectable food, brews, wines, and cocktails provided by some of Virginia's finest.

Join the movement to connect children to agriculture and support the Virginia Foundation for Agriculture in the Classroom and the State Fair of VA Scholarship program.
