    PERFORMANCE DESCRIPTION

In the midst of creating The Deep and the Dirty, Eric Johanson’s previous album cracked the Top 10 on the Billboard blues chart. It was his fourth time reaching the Top 10. And for a Louisiana native who’d grown up idolizing bluesmen like Freddie King and Robert Johnson, it felt pretty good. Even so, genre success didn’t discourage Johanson from reaching beyond the blues for The Deep and the Dirty’s eclectic, electrifying songs.

Produced by Jesse Dayton (Supersuckers, Rob Zombie) — another roots-rock innovator who, like Johanson, uses the blues as a springboard for a bigger, broader sound — The Deep and the Dirty (whose title refers to the American South) fires twin barrels of sharp songwriting and fiery fretwork. Johanson wrote these songs during an era that found him at home, live-streaming acoustic performances and releasing two volumes of his Covered Tracks series to a quarantined world. At the earliest opportunity, Eric returned to the road, gaining a fresh appreciation for the musical chemistry generated by a well-oiled touring band. The Deep and the Dirty captures these contradictions and subtleties with songs infused with messages about embracing the modern moment recorded in the studio as a band playing together live.

Johanson has been capturing moments for years. Born in Alexandria, Louisiana, he received his first guitar at five and became a self-taught prodigy. By his teens, he was a staple at regional blues gigs, often joining much older musicians on stage from New Orleans to Memphis’ Beale Street. Meanwhile, his tastes expanded to include rock acts like Tool, Soundgarden, and Nine Inch Nails. Next, Johanson began making his songs, experimenting with everything from rock & roll to beat-driven electronic music. Living in New Zealand for four years broadened his horizons even further. And by the time Johanson resettled in New Orleans during the 2010s, he’d developed a style of music that unapologetically encompassed all his influences.

    PERFORMANCE DESCRIPTION

British rock band “The Sweet “aka “Sweet” rose to worldwide fame in the 1970s as one of the top three Glam Rock acts of its era. This movement carved out a decade of new style and horizons for both music and fashion. “The Sweet’s” influence has been touted and revered across many genres, from Boy George to Kiss, to Poison to Guns N’ Roses.

The band achieved huge success with 39 #1 singles around the globe including “Ballroom Blitz,” “Fox On the Run” “Love Is Like Oxygen,” “Little Willy,” “No You Don’t,” “Blockbuster,” “Action,” “Teenage Rampage,” “AC/DC” and many more.

Decades later, the late great founder Steve Priest came out of retirement to put together his version of how he wanted his legacy to be presented and preserved into the future. After hearing drummer Richie Onori and keyboardist Stevie Stewart, he was sold that he had finally found the perfect chemistry to forge ahead in honor of his fallen comrades. The three of them enlisted two more top-caliber musicians who could equally capture and deliver with the same intensity and prowess that his original lineup did. They were off to the races, performing around the globe.

Currently, Stevie and Richie’s talented line-up proudly features the amazing Patrick Alan Stone on lead vocals, blazing guitarist Jimmy Burkhard and the keyboard wizardry of Dave Shultz. “The Sweet,” and its new blazing hot fun-packed audience-corralling show, is capturing the hearts and minds of a whole new generation of fans.

    PERFORMANCE DESCRIPTION

The band that launched the career of Janis Joplin, Big Brother and the Holding Company – along with bands like The Grateful Dead, Jefferson Airplane, and Quicksilver Messenger Service – is considered one of the original, first wave of great psychedelic bands that came out of San Francisco in the summer of 1965. The Monterey Pop Festival in the summer of 1967 was the moment when Big Brother and its lead singer Janis Joplin blew open the collective mind of the audience and rose to the top of the Rock music hierarchy. That same audience discovered Jimi Hendrix, Otis Redding and several other artists that were destined to take rock music to the next level.

In 1968, Big Brother signed with Columbia Records and Albert Grossman (Bob Dylan, Peter Paul and Mary, etc) became their manager. They went into the recording studio and produced the album that many consider their masterpiece and one of the greatest albums of all time: Cheap Thrills. The album quickly rose to #1 on the charts and stayed there for eight weeks. With recognition as one of the greatest albums of all time by the Library of Congress, the Grammy Hall of Fame, and Rolling Stone magazine, Big Brother and the Holding Company's album Cheap Thrills is an important piece of American music history.

Featuring original members Peter Albin (bass guitar, vocals, songwriter) and Dave Getz (drum, vocals, songwriter), Big Brother and the Holding Company will also feature Tommy Odetto (guitar, vocals), Tom Finch (guitar, vocals) and singer Sophia Ramos on lead vocals.

Born in the Bronx, New York, Sophia cut her teeth as a member of the NYC hard rock band Sophia’s Toy with a commanding, snarling stage presence. Named “Best Undiscovered Artist” by VH1, she has collaborated with the likes of Metallica’s Jason Newstead, Psychotica, and Joey Ramone, and performed as vocalist with an incredible variety of artists, including Screaming Headless Torsos, Gov’t Mule, Rod Stewart, Jennifer Hudson and Jefferson Starship.

As the keyboardist for the legendary Boston band and Rock & Roll Hall of Fame members, The Cars, Greg Hawkes forged the sound of rock’s New Wave. Pioneering and pushing the limits of technology and sequencing in the late 70s and through the 80s, Greg cemented the synthesizer's place in rock and pop music, and his contribution has influenced countless artists since. Along with achieving Rock & Roll Hall of Fame status and massive commercial success with The Cars, Greg has been a sought-after session and touring musician, and has worked with the likes of Paul McCartney, Todd Rundgren, and The Turtles.

The Cars were named Best New Artist in the 1978 Rolling Stone Readers' Poll. The band's debut album, The Cars, sold six million copies and appeared on the Billboard 200 album chart for 139 weeks. The Cars had four Top 10 hits: "Shake It Up" (1981), "You Might Think," (1984), "Drive" (1984), and "Tonight She Comes" (1985). The band won Video of the Year for "You Might Think" at the first MTV Video Music Awards in 1984.

In 2016, Greg collaborated with the acclaimed Boston band Eddie Japan to produce their 2017 album Golden Age. This eventually led to Greg and the band joining forces to create a night of music by The Cars featuring a set list curated by Greg. Since 2019, Greg Hawkes with Eddie Japan Performing the Music of The Cars has been thrilling audiences across the Northeast with an energetic show that includes hits and deeper cuts from The Cars songbook, along with special selections relating to Greg’s amazing musical career.

    PERFORMANCE DESCRIPTION

Jay Siegel’s Tokens were introduced to the world with their first hit single, “Tonight I Fell In Love,” in 1961. Soon after, the group landed at #1 with their signature song, “The Lion Sleeps Tonight.” In 1994, that song returned to the Billboard Hot 100 Singles Chart when it was featured in Disney’s The Lion King and re-released as part of a unique compilation of twenty of The Tokens' earlier tunes, giving fans a rare opportunity to enjoy many of the songs The Tokens wrote more than thirty years ago, as well as songs popularized by other artists which The Tokens later recorded in their own distinctive style.

That style and sound is elegantly defined by Jay Siegel, original lead singer and founding member, whose tenor lead and trademark falsetto have characterized all of The Tokens’ music since the group began recording, and continues to do so today as Jay Siegel’s Tokens (with Gabe Dassa and Kurt Yaghjian).

Few people know of the other projects Jay and the Tokens were a part of. The Tokens were the production geniuses behind numerous hits by The Chiffons, Tony Orlando and Dawn, The Happenings, Randy and the Rainbows and Robert John. They sang backup vocals for such artists as Del Shannon, Melissa Manchester, Connie Francis, The Blues Project, Mac Davis & Bob Dylan. The Tokens were also successful in the commercial realm, performing in ad campaigns for Clairol, General Foods, Wrigley's gum, Eastern, Pan Am, TWA and United Airlines, Cool Whip, Etch A Sketch, Wendy's, KFC and Sleep Number Bed.

Today, Jay Siegel’s Tokens continue to tour the world, bringing their classic sound and timeless hits to fans both old and new.

Who can forget the incomparable music of the Carpenters? The popular brother/sister duo of the 70s and early 80s gave us some of the most unforgettable ballads and melodic pop songs of all time.

Fronted by singer Debbie Taylor, her Karen Carpenter vocal resemblance is absolutely astonishing. She is backed by a seven-piece band consisting of top-notch, professional industry musicians who have had amazing careers in their own right. The band members are all multi-instrumentalists and at times use three keyboards to recreate the incredibly complex arrangements created by Richard Carpenter. The attention to detail paired with saxophone, trumpet, flute and many more instruments complete every song to perfection!

This Carpenters Tribute Band brings the most authentic versions of the Carpenters music to the stage. No doubt, you will be singing along as they perform hits like; “Close To You,” “We’ve Only Just Begun,” “Rainy Days And Mondays,” “Please Mr. Postman” and “Yesterday Once More,” to name a few. Debbie captures the warm tones and contralto range that made Karen’s voice so unique. Sit back and enjoy as Debbie and her band take you on a nostalgic journey through the Carpenters greatest hits while sharing some of the backstories behind the music.

    PERFORMANCE DESCRIPTION

World renowned rock guitarist, Gary Hoey, has released 22 albums. He has toured with Jeff Beck, Brian May, Joe Satriani & Ted Nugent to name a few. At sixteen, Hoey often lingered outside Boston's Berklee College of Music making friends and offering to pay for lessons. To devote more of his time to music, the prodigy would cut high school classes so that he could hone his guitar playing skills all the while playing Boston's local clubs and teaching guitar to avoid a day job and keep the guitar in his hands.

Hoey’s first break came in 1987 when Ozzy Osbourne showed up in Boston looking for a guitarist. Osbourne flew him to LA for an audition. Ozzy said “you’re a great player, you should move to LA”. And with $17,000 he saved from teaching, Hoey loaded the U-Haul and drove across country to LA. In 1992 Warner/Reprise released the epic rock album Heavy Bones album with Frankie Banali on drums. In 1993 Hoey released his second instrumental album, Animal Instinct, which included a cover of the Focus hit, "Hocus Pocus." During the midst of the grunge era, “Hocus Pocus” rocketed into the Billboard Top 5, becoming the most frequently played rock song of the year, and the album went on to reach classic rock notoriety. In 1994, Hoey scored soundtrack to the cult film Endless Summer II and had another radio hit with War's "Low Rider." In 1995, Hoey released Ho Ho Hoey, the first of what would become a collection of three instrumental rock remakes of Christmas Classics. Other film clients have included Walt Disney films, ESPN, New Line Cinema, scoring the music to "California Screaming" (Disneyland Roller Coaster), Space Mountain (Japan), "Office Space," "Deck the Halls” (Danny Devito), and Beethoven III. Hoey also produced and co-wrote Ford’s album Living Like Runaway.

Gary Hoey is listed as one of the top 100 guitarists of all time. Whether he’s playing scorching originals or classic rock covers, his solos are thrilling and reminiscent of Clapton or Stevie Ray in their fiery youth. One thing that remains consistent is Hoey’s impassioned command of the guitar. He can attack his instrument with feral intensity and then play something very soft and achingly beautiful. This ability to mix feeling, phrasing, technique and tone is the true mark of a master guitarist.

Ryan Coleman, a Bucks County native and Penn State Class of 2020 alum, stunned during his blind audition and TV debut onNBC's The Voice on March 11. Coleman’s country-rock rendition of Bill Withers’ “Ain’t No Sunshine” was powerful enough to make pop-country duo Dan+Shay turn their chair.

While learning to play the guitar in second grade, Coleman instantaneously developed a love for music. Growing up on a farm, Coleman mostly listened to country music yet felt a connection to the R&B and soul singer Bill Withers. Although they have different styles of singing, Coleman said he can relate to Withers’ path in the music industry.

With his strong work ethic and love of good country music, the future looks bright for Ryan Coleman.
