On a typical drive, I'm happy if I get six or seven — eight ideas would be a good drive.

"For this album," he continues, "on my first writing trip I had 21 different song ideas. I thought, 'Wow, this is cool.' Then I sat down to write, and I thought if I could finish one of them — get the verses, get the bridge, get the chorus in one day — then I'll know this whole writing period is going to be good. And I finished eight songs. I sat down at 10 in the morning, and I looked up at 9:30 and I hadn't eaten, I hadn't moved from the writing table. It was exciting. I've never felt that before."

The band's style has evolved throughout their career, and their music, which began exclusively acoustic, quickly grew to encompass a mixture of pop, rock, hip-hop, and rap.

Evan Honer:

Evan Honer is a singer-songwriter originally from Surprise, Arizona. Influenced by esteemed artists like Jason Isbell, Tyler Childers, and Jim Croce, Evan has masterfully crafted a captivating blend of modern outlaw country, indie folk, and alt-pop sensibilities.

Jason Petty celebrates Hank Williams 100th birthday with his critically acclaimed tribute, “Hank and My Honky Tonk Heroes.” Williams penned over 400 country songs depicting the trials and tribulations of the common man and woman. Among his timeless classics are Hey Good Lookin’, Your Cheatin’ Heart, I’m So Lonesome I Could Cry, Jambalaya and I Saw The Light. Williams is credited with creating a style that would influence other artists such as Patsy Cline, George Jones, Merle Haggard, and Elvis Presley. He is considered the single most influential person in country music history and is enshrined in the Country Music Hall of Fame, the Songwriters Hall of Fame, and the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.

Jason Petty gained national notoriety when he portrayed Hank Williams in the biographical/musical about Williams’ life titled Hank Williams: Lost Highway. Petty first portrayed the country legend on the world-famous Ryman Auditorium stage in Nashville, TN, for a 2-year run of the Williams’ production.
