    Riding on a historic train is a unique experience. Where else can you ride in a living museum? Our signature ride, the Hill Country Flyer allows you time to explore our vintage train cars, historically restored for your enjoyment! On board the train, you will wind through the Texas Hill Country, crossing the trestle bridge over the South San Gabriel River and Short Creek Canyon. During your two hour layover in Burnet you can enjoy lunch on your own, shopping, and a leisurely stroll around the historic town square. Finally, relax and enjoy time with your friends and family...as the train returns to our Cedar Park Depot in the afternoon.

    All cars are pulled by a diesel locomotive. This 66-mile ride is 6.5 hours round trip with a 2 hour layover. SCHEDULE: Departs 9:00 AM, Returns 3:30 PM. Departing at 9:00 AM from Cedar Park Depot and returning at 3:30 PM, the ride provides a relaxing escape from the everyday hustle, with the rhythmic sounds of the train setting the perfect backdrop for meaningful moments with your loved ones.


    Passengers will enjoy a two-hour layover in Burnet, TX, a charming town known for its historic square and the stunning Wedding Oak Winery. We encourage guests to visit the winery’s tasting room, which offers picturesque two-story views, a patio, and a rooftop terrace. Burnet also offers excellent dining and boutique shopping, making it the perfect destination for a leisurely Valentine’s Day outing.


    Onboard, guests can explore our historic train cars, each carefully restored to preserve its vintage charm. For this special event, adults can relax and enjoy beer and wine available for purchase in the Cedar Park and Nambe cars.

    Whether you're a trivia master or just in it for the fun, the Trivia Train promises a journey filled with friendly competition, great drinks, and unforgettable moments. Don’t miss your chance to climb aboard this epic St. Patrick’s celebration!

    Each round will consist of 10 questions: 9 questions on a specific topic and 1 bonus Train Trivia question. The event will start with three rounds where cars will compete against each other. Following a short break, two additional rounds will take place to determine the top team of each car and the overall Trivia Night Champion. The top team of each car will also receive a prize. Across the entire train, the top three teams will be awarded prizes, including merchandise and ASTA Gift Cards. Lastly, the Trivia Night Team Champion will be announced, and each team member will receive a free ticket to our next trivia night to defend their title!


     The Bertram Flyer Route:


    Sit back for a relaxing journey into passenger railroad's glorious past onboard the Bertram Flyer! Our vintage train cars are from the golden era of rail travel, built in the '30s, '40s and '50s, and fully restored for your enjoyment. On board the train, your 44 mile journey spans the South San Gabriel River and flies past our historic 1912 Bertram Depot. Enjoy views of Short Creek Canyon, the 300-foot-long wooden trestle bridge over the South San Gabriel, and the Duffy-Shamrock communications mast-one of the tallest structures in the world!

    PERFORMANCE DESCRIPTION

    Enjoy the Wine Train as we take the train to Wedding Oak Winery in Burnet, Texas! Passengers will enjoy a 2-hour train ride from Cedar Park spanning the South San Gabriel River while enjoying an intimate talk and wine tasting with members of the Wedding Oak family. In Burnet, food and wine are available for purchase during our 2-hour layover at the stunning tasting room at Wedding Oak Winery. Complete with two-story views, a patio, and a rooftop terrace, Wedding Oak has made its home in the historic 1888 Badger Building, in the heart of Burnet's town square. Finally, please relax and enjoy the ride as the train returns to our Cedar Park Depot in the afternoon.


    We want to make sure you get home safely! As such, non-alcoholic drinks and snacks will be available for purchase on the return trip. Alcohol will not be served and may not be consumed on our return trip.


    Ages 21 and up only. SCHEDULE: Departs 11 am, Returns 5 pm. Your ticket includes a 2-hour train ride and a tasting-sized flight of 5 wines.
