Come play with dance and sound! Join Double Yolk Collective as we tap into our own electricity, turning the ground we stand on into a music-making instrument that brings the sound of our connection to life.

This interactive workshop is open to all-ages (children under 12 must be accompanied by an adult), and no dance, music or electronics experience is necessary. We regret that this workshop is inaccessible to participants with pacemakers.

Your workshop facilitators:

Double Yolk is an arts collective committed to playful and experimental creation at the intersection of music, dance, media arts. At the heart of their interdisciplinary work is a commitment to working in a multilingual way, honoring our communities, and bringing people together.

Double Yolk premiered "A Thousand Mornings” at Jacob’s Pillow 2024, and continued on to tour the work internationally at NIME 2024 in Utrecht, Netherlands, where they were awarded “Best Art / Music Installation,” praised as, “a diverse team of very talented students using simple but effective technology to apply interpersonal touch paired with expressive and well thought out mappings resulting in a touching and moving performance, beautifully yet subtly composed and executed."

Special thanks to Dr. Rachel Chen and Raphael Candela who were instrumental in the creation of this work.
