K-8th Grade Educational Programs

Looking for a wild experience for your students? The North Carolina Zoo offers various engaging educational programs for school groups visiting the Zoo and bringing the Zoo to your classroom. These programs enrich students' learning about animals, the need for healthy habitats, and the actions they can take to help protect and preserve Earth's natural resources.

 

Most of our programs utilize ambassador animals for the most impactful educational experience.  While we cannot guarantee animals or specific species due to variability in weather and well-being, we can guarantee a hands-on experience through our biofacts! We are not able to sign any contracts or agreements.
