The National Law Enforcement Museum's newest offering is Walking the Beat: The History of MPD, a walking tour through the streets of Washington, DC. Over 75 minutes, explore how the Metropolitan Police Department grew from a small force in 1861 to one of the more historic and influential police departments in the nation. Along the way, hear stories of notorious crimes, legendary officers, and MPD's role in some of DC's most pivotal moments.

The tour will begin at the National Law Enforcement Museum and end at the Memorial.

Walking tours run April through October on the last Saturday of every month.
