Note for Note - Cut for Cut™

    Fleetwood Mac / Rumours

The very first track of the album let’s you know that heartache awaits it’s not easy to fall apart then sing about it then have 25 million people buy it it was therapy and it paid great.

This is a tough album for us to perform. The vocals are tricky. There’s nuance and layering and thunder and the guitars are orchestral plus the vibe of the album - the feel, that’s hard to recreate. I wanted the band to move into an apartment together to prepare for this album, but that didn’t fly, so we rehearsed our asses off and we got it

What’s cool about this record is that everyone knows all the words even the ushers at the shows so when CAL hits the stage and plays this masterpiece it is joyous, we love you when we’re playing.

Note for Note - Cut for Cut™

Supertramp / Crime of the Century

This album was everywhere. Car stereos, parking lots, basement parties.

We used to think Supertramp were Canadian, and they might as well have been as they became popular in Canada before the states.

The album is sonic beauty. Picking up musically where The Beatles left off and lyrically equaling Dylan for poetry.

There’s a nuance to this album that is difficult to perform. Almost like an invisible velvet rope. If you know you know. Step into the depth of the early seventies. This album defines that moment in time.

All the musicians are excited about taking on Supertramp. We welcome the challenge. There’s a reason why you never heard Supertramp performed by cover bands, it’s too difficult. But we got it. Note for Note. Anything else would be a crime.

Fully renovated and restored, the historic Carpenter Theatre is the cornerstone of the Dominion Energy Center. It features state-of-the-art lighting and world-class acoustics while still preserving its Old World feel. Its large stage, great acoustics and 20 dressing rooms make it a performer’s dream venue. Carpenter Theatre’s main lobby includes two refreshment bars and a concierge station, with two additional refreshment bars upstairs. Four large mosaic tile murals of parrots serve as the backdrop to the four refreshment bars and are a tribute to the handmade parrot that has been perched in the lobby since the theater first opened in 1928. Upon entering the refurbished Carpenter Theatre - with nearly 1,800 seats - audiences enjoy newly installed fiber optic stars twinkling overhead in the repainted midnight sky ceiling, one of the many preserved and enhanced elements of John Eberson's original theater design.
