Ann Arbor Comedy Showcase

Tabari McCoy has performed at several prestigious events, such as the San Francsico Sketch Fest, the North Carolina Comedy Arts Festival, and the inaugural Limestone Comedy Festival. In addition to being featured on Rooftop Comedy’s Road Trip on the MavTV Network and Hulu.com, Tabari also starred alongside his mother in an episode of HGTV’s popular series Property Virgins, where he purchased his first home.

With his debut album Laughing With a Panther, his sophomore album Remarkable and his national TV debut on Laughs under his belt, Tabari invites audiences to his first one-hour stand-up special, Be Happy, now available on YouTube. As a prominent writer, McCoy is also the creator and proprietor of McCoy On Movies, his independent blog about the films he watches. Additionally, his work has been featured prominently in several outlets near his Cincinnati home including Xavier University, Mount Saint Joseph University and the Northern Kentucky Business Journal, as well as Ebony.com among others.

A fan of stand-up comedy dating back to when he would laugh at Laffy Taffy wrappers, Tabari’s sense of humor reflects a wide assortment of influences, speaking on everything from everyday annoyances to pop culture, sports, and his own personal experiences.
