NORMAN BROWN
WEBSITE
Grammy award-winning contemporary jazz/r&b superstar Norman Brown has sold over 2 million albums in his extraordinary career and virtually lives at the top of the Billboard Contemporary Jazz charts. HIs versatility in his musical genres have afforded him the chance to collaborate with a cross-section of Jazz & R&B superstars including George Benson, Brian McKnight, Rick Braun, Kirk Whalum, Chante’ Moore, Jeff Lorber, Peabo Bryson, Boney James, Miki Howard, and Gerald Albright.

Given the title as “ one of the greatest, most articulate guitarist out there” by George Benson, Norman Brown was raised in Kansas City, Kansas, and that is where his musical journey began. At the age of 8 he picked up his first guitar and was inspired by Jimi Hendrix and the Isley Brothers, his fathers music preference for the sound of Wes Montgomery is what set Norman Brown on his guitar stylistic journey.

With sales and critical acclaim supporting him, Norman Brown made the leap to Warner Brothers studio and released celebration, which teamed him with the producer Paul Brown. After that he created Just Chillin, which earned him a Grammy Award in best pop instrumental. Following his grammy he released West Cost Coolin’, and this was his project where he tested out his singing skills, a move that was embraced by the urban Ac radio and found him at the top of the charts.

Armed with all his knowledge and talent, Brown’s ever-growing fan base, affirm the adoration and respect he holds amongst his peers.
