DESCRIPTION

Welcome to the National Capital Trolley Museum’s e-Ticketing site (eTix)

Join us for DC Transit Day as we commemorate the 60th anniversary of the end of streetcar service in Washington. Historic DC Transit 1101, the very first street car of the revolutionary "PCC" design to operate in Washington, will be in operation for two-mile roundtrip rides*. At 2:00 pm and 3:00 pm a slide show presentation of Washington street car scenes will be offered in the Auditorium. At 2:30 pm and 3:30 pm our Director of Education will be hosting a children’s story time and craft activity. A special display of street car artifacts will be in the Visitor's Center; Raleigh D'Adamo's WASHINGTON STREETCAR FILMS, which includes rare footage of Capital Transit Company street cars operating in Washington and Maryland, will be playing continuously. General admission includes access to all of the above.

*Due to the historic nature of our equipment, operating street cars are subject to change without notice.

As part of our revised operating procedures, a timed entry ticket system has been implemented for admission to the museum. All museum visitors, including pass holders and Groupon customers, may obtain timed entry tickets through this site. Visitors who do not purchase timed entry tickets in advance may not be accommodated due to capacity restrictions. Additionally, we are not accepting cash for any on-site sales.

VISITORS WITH A FAMILY & FRIENDS PASS, ADMISSION PASS OR GROUPON: You must reserve free timed entry tickets to use your pass/Groupon; all pass/Groupon holders without timed entry tickets will only be admitted if space is available.

NCTM & BSM MEMBERS: Member admission is walk-up only and if space is available. Please do not use eTix. *Family & Friends passes are NOT the same as membership – please see the instructions above if you hold a Family & Friends pass.

Health and Safety:
The safety of our visitors is our top priority. All visitors who feel sick, have experienced a fever, exhibited any symptoms of COVID-19, or have been exposed to people who tested positive for COVID-19 within the past fourteen days should postpone or cancel their visit. If you noticed these symptoms after purchasing timed entry tickets, please contact the Ticketmaster (ticketmaster@dctrolley.org) as soon as possible to request a refund or exchange – please do not call the museum. Please allow up to five business days for a response – COVID-19 related ticket refund or exchange requests may be honored even if the event has started.

Until further notice, all visitors over age two are required to wear a mask while on site; this includes the entire museum campus, facilities, and trolleys. Museum staff are also required to wear a mask. Social distancing is encouraged both in the facilities and on the trolleys. Hand sanitizer is provided to everyone at multiple locations in the facility. Staff regularly disinfect surfaces throughout the museum. If possible, the windows on our historic trolleys are opened.

By purchasing timed entry tickets and visiting the museum, you agree to adhere to, and accept, the above procedures. Thank you for your cooperation.
