Alejandro G. Iñárritu’s Academy Award®-winning virtual reality experience CARNE y ARENA (Virtually present, Physically invisible) explores the human condition of immigrants and refugees.

CARNE y ARENA is produced by PHI Studio, Emerson Collective, Legendary Entertainment, and Fondazione Prada and presented in Dallas in association with the Nasher Sculpture Center and The George W. Bush Presidential Center.

CARNE y ARENA is a solo virtual reality experience designed for one visitor at a time, which limits interactions and respects social distancing. The experience is highly immersive and can feel extremely realistic. Recommended 15+; children 12 and under will not be permitted.

On view January 21 - April 18, 2022 at the Food & Fiber Pavilion at Fair Park.

Ticketing

Tuesday - Friday:

  • 11a.m. – 1 p.m., 5 p.m. – 7 p.m. -- $45
  • 1 p.m. – 5 p.m. -- $35
  • 7 p.m. – 9 p.m. -- $55

Saturday - Sunday:

  • 11 a.m. – 9 p.m. -- $55
  • Visitors will complete their ticketed experience individually.
  • Please arrive at least 15 minutes before your schedule entry time.
  • Latecomers cannot be admitted; tickets may be rescheduled no more than once. Exchanges do not include a refund of the difference in ticket prices.
  • No refunds. All sales are final.

Access

  • Face masks are required for all visitors and staff.
  • Visitors must be 13 years of age or older to enter. Children ages 13 to 15 must be accompanied by a legal guardian.
  • The installation is accessible to those with reduced mobility, although additional assistance may be required. Please contact venue prior to visit.

CARNE y ARENA has implemented extensive safety measures to protect against COVID-19. Our team follows a meticulous protocol of hygiene measures. All gear (including headsets) is carefully disinfected with an ultraviolet machine for efficient sterilization between each visitor.
