DAY OF National Air and Space Museum’s Udvar-Hazy Center, Innovations in Flight

Please note you are reserving tickets for the Innovations in Flight Outdoor Aviation Display event at the Udvar-Hazy Center, located in Chantilly, VA.

Although tickets are not necessary for visiting indoor exhibits of the Udvar-Hazy Center, timed tickets are required for touring the outside area where aircraft will be on display for the Innovations in Flight Outdoor Aviation Display event.

Tickets are available for the Innovations in Flight Outdoor Aviation Display on Saturday, August 21^st, in two timeframes: morning (10am-12pm) or afternoon (12:30pm-2:30pm). 

You are welcome to arrive at any point during the time range on your ticket. There is a 10-minute ongoing safety briefing that must be attended before being allowed outside; you may experience periodic lines when accessing the event. Bring your water bottles; the Museum will provide water refill stations.

Reserve your time slot for Innovations in Flight Outdoor Aviation Display. Admission is free. Here's how to register:

• Step 2: Select a time slot from the drop-down menu and click Confirm Time Slot to continue.

Important Conditions:  Passes for Innovations in Flight Outdoor Aviation Display are for visitors’ personal use only and are valid only for the stated visitor(s), guest(s), date, and time. Passes may not be sold or transferred. Reservations that violate these conditions may be cancelled.

Face Coverings:  

·  Everyone age 2 and older is required to wear a face covering while inside the museum.

·  Face coverings should fit properly and fully cover the nose, mouth, and chin with no large gaps.

·  Face coverings are not required outdoors. Please be considerate of others and maintain at least 6 feet of distance with individuals outside of your group.

Social Distancing:  Please maintain a safe social distance of six feet or more between households or groups at all times. Social distancing signage and directions can be found throughout our facility.  

Personal Belongings:  We encourage you to limit the number of personal belongings and bags you bring into our facility, as they will be subject to a thorough search. Limiting the items you bring will increase your speed through security check points, helping us all maintain a safe social distance. 

Please note due to ongoing construction to repair the Boeing Aviation Hangar roof, some parts of the Udvar-Hazy Center will not be available during your visit. Click here for a list of what will be available and click here for more information on the construction project.
