PERFORMANCE DESCRIPTION

Old Crow Medicine Show started busking on street corners in 1998 New York state and up through Canada, winning audiences along the way with their boundless energy and spirit. They eventually found themselves in Boone, North Carolina where they caught the attention of folk icon Doc Watson while playing in front of a pharmacy. He invited the band to play at his festival, MerleFest, helping to launch their career. Shortly thereafter the band was hired to entertain crowds between shows at the Grand Ole Opry in Nashville, TN.

Special Guest Molly Tuttle -  A virtuosic, award-winning guitarist with a gift for insightful songwriting, Molly Tuttle established herself as a new artist to watch with her boundary-breaking debut album, WHEN YOU’RE READY. What followed were dates at Telluride, Newport Folk Fest, an appearance on CBS Saturday Morning, and an enthusiastic reception both by critics and her fellow musicians. www.mollytuttlemusic.com

Legendary! It’s a status very few groups ever attain. But for 30 years and counting, En Vogue has achieved this pinnacle on nothing but pure talent. And they are not letting up now. Still riding high off the global release of 2018’s Electric Café, their first album in 14 years, En Vogue is literally soaring as Terry Ellis, Cindy Herron-Braggs and Rhona Bennett take the group to even greater heights.

PERFORMANCE DESCRIPTION

Steve Earle is one of the most acclaimed singer-songwriters of his generation, a worthy heir to Townes Van Zandt and Guy Clark, his two supreme musical mentors. Over the course of twenty studio albums, Earle has distinguished himself as a master storyteller, and his songs have been recorded by a vast array of artists, including Johnny Cash, Waylon Jennings, Joan Baez, Emmylou Harris, the Pretenders, and more. Earle’s 1986 debut album, Guitar Town, is now regarded as a classic of the Americana genre, and subsequent releases like The Revolution Starts...Now (2004), Washington Square Serenade (2007), and TOWNES (2009) all received Grammy Awards. Restlessly creative across artistic disciplines, Earle has published both a novel and a collection of short stories; produced albums for other artists; and acted in films, TV shows and on stage. He currently hosts a radio show for Sirius XM. In 2019, Earle appeared in the off-Broadway play Samara, for which he also wrote a score that The New York Times described as “exquisitely subliminal.” Each year, Earle organizes a benefit concert for the Keswell School, which his son John Henry attends and which provides educational programs for children and young adults with autism.

PERFORMANCE DESCRIPTION
Blues legend Robert Cray has created a sound that rises from American roots and arrives today both fresh and familiar. In just over 40 years, Cray and his band have recorded 20 studio releases, 15 of which have been on the Billboard charts, and played bars, concert halls, festivals and arenas around the world. In 2011, Cray was inducted to the Blues Hall of Fame and he received the Americana Music Lifetime Achievement Award for Performance in 2017. His current album, That’s What I Heard, has reached critical acclaim featuring such tracks as the rollicking gospel groove "Burying Ground," the bare-bones funk medley "Do It" and the sweet, soulful "You'll Want me Back." For more information about the new album, visit www.robertcray.com.

MAE SIMPSON (duo)

Mae Simpson is pure energy and soul. The now Minnesota-based singer-songwriter hails from South Carolina, and has a huge voice and stage presence. Usually performing as a seven piece band, Mae can also be seen as a duo, digging back into her roots with guitarist Jorgen Wadkins. Expect to hear gritty Blues, Soul, Americana and stories of how Mae grew up along the way.

PERFORMANCE DESCRIPTION

Gov’t Mule stormed the jam band scene in 1994 with a bluesy blend of Southern rock. Guitarist Warren Haynes and bassist Allen Woody originally formed the band as a side project of the Allman Brothers Band. Gov’t Mule's music is defined by its noodling blues-rock jams and Parliament-funk freak-outs. The band’s concerts and tours bring to mind legendary 1960s acts like Cream, Grateful Dead, the Jimi Hendrix Experience and Little Feat. Gov’t Mule has been a staple on the summer festival scene since their inception, entertaining college kids and older hippies alike. The mid-1990s represented the height of the jam band circuit, but while other contemporary bands faded away, Gov’t Mule kept on trucking. For the past two decades, Gov’t Mule has been entertaining ticket buyers with good old-fashioned Southern rock and roll, with songs and set lists that seem to rise, swell and go on for hours. Today, Gov’t Mule are one of the last pillars of the jam band scene.

PERFORMANCE DESCRIPTION

Throughout their career, Blackberry Smoke—vocalist/lead guitarist Charlie Starr, guitarist/vocalist Paul Jackson, bassist/vocalist Richard Turner, drummer Brit Turner, and keyboardist Brandon Still—has embodied Georgia’s rich musical legacy, honoring the people, places, and sounds of their home state. As the band celebrates their 20th anniversary this year, their reverence for Georgia has only deepened. On their latest album, You Hear Georgia, the follow-up to 2018’s critically acclaimed Find a Light, Blackberry Smoke is further celebrating these roots with 10 new songs that feel like Georgia, accented by the addition of Grammy-winning producer and fellow Georgia-native, Dave Cobb (Jason Isbell, Brandi Carlile). “Dave and I had spoken for the last few years about making a record,” Starr says. “Finally, it worked out, our schedule and his schedule, and we said, yes—let’s make a record.”
