Our Renaissance High Tea experience is located above downtown Newmarket Village in the upstairs deck dining room above Tea and Strumpets. Consisting of four courses with fresh fruit, 3 flavors of finger sandwiches, a rotating savory sampling of traditional Queen’s Pantry Scotch Eggs, Quiches, and Pasties. The meal is rounded off with 2 flavors of Scones served with Devonshire Cream and jam, and a variety of sweet bites.*
Specific menu details will evolve from weekend to weekend, with the seasonality of ingredients.
There is a bottomless pot of tea included and, in addition, our signature wine cocktails and aperitifs are available for purchase through your hosts at the upstairs bar. Seating begins at 10:30 for a 11am and 3:30 for a 4pm Meal service.
We regret that we cannot accommodate allergy related dietary needs, as we cannot guarantee the items to be free of cross-contamination.
This year we are seating entire parties as groups, Your coterie’s table will be booked as a unit, and then you get to bring your guests. You will have all 4 or 6 of the tickets for your table to distribute as you wish. This allows us to address your party as a unit, and allows you to leave seats empty if this is your wish. Tables are located 6’ or more apart, and we have great air flow in our outdoor upstairs deck tea room. You will choose your table in the check-out process.
** If you have ambulatory restrictions that keep you from being able to go up stairs, please choose the “Limited Mobility” table option when choosing your table. We will set up a special place for you on the ground level.
Nonticketed park visitors will not be allowed upstairs during Tea Events, which also helps us maintain the safety and cleanliness of the upstairs dining area.
***Important!!! Make sure your festival entry tickets are for the same day as your tea tickets. The park is functioning at a limited capacity in 2020, and you do not want to leave open the chance that the park will be sold out when you arrive at the gate!
