DESCRIPTION

FREE GENERAL ADMISSION

Because we believe that art is a gift meant for all, general admission to the DMA is FREE; however, to ensure an optimal guest experience, we require visitors to have a ticket for entry.

Free general admission includes viewing the Museum’s collection galleries and select exhibitions. Please note that some special exhibitions require a separate ticket that must be purchased after your free general admission ticket has been reserved.

School groups with 10 or more students are required to make a reservation and submit payment at least two weeks in advance; groups without a reservation may be turned away. All school, homeschool, and community class groups must book through the School Group Visit program and may not use general admission tickets to visit.

Museum Hours:

Open Wednesday-Sunday, 11:00 a.m.-5:00 p.m.

SPECIAL EXHIBITIONS

Select the date you plan to visit the Museum.
Add the number of General Admission tickets needed for entry.
Select your Exhibit tickets from the pop up box.

Tickets are typically be released on the third Monday of every month for the upcoming month.

DMA FREE First Sundays: Access for All

Admission to special exhibitions are FREE on the first Sunday of each month.

International Surrealism is included in DMA FREE First Sundays on November 2, 2025; December 7, 2025; January 4, 2026; February 1, 2026; and March 1, 2026

Constellations: Contemporary Jewelry at the Dallas Museum of Art is included in DMA FREE First Sundays on December 7, 2025; January 4, 2026; February 1, 2026; March 1, 2026; April 5, 2026; and May 3, 2026

Return to Infinity: Yayoi Kusama is not included in FREE First Sundays.

Early Closure Notice: In preparation for The Collection Gala, the museum will close to the public at 3:00 PM on Saturday, 10/18/25. The garage will close at 2:30 PM. We will resume normal hours on Sunday, 10/19/25.
