Walk through Keeneland’s Stable Area – commonly called the “backstretch” -- and see activities that occur every day – from a racehorse being bathed and walked to receiving new shoes. Other tour stops include the main track and training track, Racing Office and Sales Pavilion.
Backstretch Tours, which are offered on selected days and times, are best suited for people who are 13 and older.
Tours are limited to a maximum of 10 people.
The walking tour lasts approximately 1.5 hours and largely takes place outside, rain or shine. For your comfort, please dress for the weather.
At least 20 minutes prior to your tour, please check in at the Welcome Center, located adjacent to the Grandstand South entrance located at the top of parking row 7.
Because of concerns surrounding COVID-19, Keeneland will limit the number of guests in each tour. Please book tours in advance because onsite ticket sales will not be available.
