Morning Works Tour

A National Historic Landmark, Keeneland features beautifully landscaped grounds that are normally open to the public every day. Home to spectacular Thoroughbred racing and the world’s largest Thoroughbred auction company, Keeneland welcomes guests to celebrate our timeless beauty.

Guests are encouraged to book tours in advance, as tickets will sell out.

Health and Safety

The safety of our guests, horsemen and employees is of the utmost priority for Keeneland. Keeneland follows the health and safety guidance of the CDC and state government to prevent the spread of COVID-19.  Sanitation measures throughout the grounds have been increased. Guests, horsemen and employees who are not feeling well are expected to stay home.

For the safety of our horses and patrons, attendees under the age of 18 must be accompanied by an adult.  Additionally, pets are not permitted on tour; only trained service animals will be permitted inside the gates.

Tour Information

• This tour is offered throughout the year at Keeneland, days vary upon the season. 
• Tickets must be purchased in advance online for $15 per person; children 12 and under are free but still require a child ticket.
• The tour begins promptly at 8:30 a.m., lasts for just over 1 hour and largely takes place outside. For your comfort, wear appropriate shoes for walking, standing and climbing stairs.
• Tours take place rain or shine, so please dress for the weather. Patrons are encouraged to bring bottled water on warm weather days.
• Umbrellas are prohibited for the safety of the Thoroughbreds and riders on the track. In the event of rain, we suggest bringing ponchos and rain boots.
• All guests must check in at least 15 minutes prior to tour time at the Welcome Center, located adjacent to the Grandstand South entrance located at the top of parking row 7.

Private Tours
