On the second floor of the Dominion Energy Center's Dorothy Pauley Square, the 200-seat Libby S. Gottwald Playhouse provides an intimate space for close encounters with top regional and local talent. The enchanting space contains a revolutionary flexible seating arrangement with folding risers that can accommodate every performance. Comfortable chairs flank the sides of the theater, and movable, cushioned stadium-seating provides patrons a full view of the stage area while performance hall-quality acoustics and state-of-the-art lighting bolster every entertainer’s experience. A second configuration allows for the performance stage to be in the center of the theater, making even patrons in the back row feel within reach of the performers.
