PERFORMANCE DESCRIPTION

Stark Dance presents a dichotomy of provocative works to rile you up and get you thinking about things you shouldn’t, but also evocative, very human works, to keep you thinking about things you should.

The concert features six dances from choreographer Daniel Stark that reverberate with fierce movement, compelling images and palpable emotions: the desperation and futility of holding on to that which is already lost in Crash; the power and pettiness of media in Television; the tempestuousness of relationships in Ripple; the mockery (or perhaps too realistic representation) of our current American state of affairs in Politics Religion Sex.

The cast is highlighted by superstars of the Twin Cities dance scene as well as of some of its best emerging artists.
