Tampa Theatre

Thank you for supporting Tampa Theatre—Tampa’s only non-profit movie palace dedicated to presenting independent first-run films and classic films, live events, and educational programs.

Your gift will help Tampa Theatre strengthen our artistic and educational programs and ensure that the facility is being preserved, restored and improved for generations to come.

We have provided options below to facilitate supporting our most urgent needs. If you have any questions or are interested in supporting the Theatre in a way not listed below, please contact Maggie Webber at maggie@tampatheatre.org or 813-274-8680.

Tampa Theatre General Operating Support

Join us now and BE THE LIGHT!

To ensure our community's safety during the rising public health threat of COVID-19, we had to make the difficult decision to close our doors. Exactly one year to the date, on March 11, 2021, we re-opened our historic doors and have again begun serving the community that we love so dearly.
During this tumultuous last year, we have seen firsthand the “helpers” in our community step up to lend a hand, donate their time or dollars, and purchase a ticket to attend one of our virtual events or screenings, and we thank you!

Thank you for being this bright light and supporting our majestic movie palace Tampa Theatre. Your support is so important to us!

Our marquee has shone brightly for the last 94 years, and with your help, we know it will shine brightly for the next 100 years! Cheers and we hope to see you soon!

In your service,
Maggie Webber

Restoration Campaign

Restore the Building: In planning a comprehensive restoration of Tampa Theatre, the Board of Directors has identified the 94-year-old movie palace’s most critical needs that will protect the building and improve your comfort and experience. The total cost to fully restore the Theatre is estimated to be $12 million, with $6 million identified as urgently needed improvements. We completed our $6 million phase-one goal, which addressed critical infrastructure projects, reseated the auditorium and completed the first stages of decorative restoration in 2017, but you can still contribute to our “Cush Your Tush” seat sponsorship program.
