The San Mateo County Fair is the Peninsula’s premier community event for Bay Area family fun and entertainment. The San Mateo County Fair strives to provide a diverse experience through education, inspiration and entertainment. The nine-day fair represents a celebration of our community's talent, interests, innovations and rich agricultural, and artistic heritage. Highlights of the San Mateo County Fair include the animals! Hop over to visit the kangaroos in the Aussie Kingdom. Cheer on the racing pigs. Visit the 4-H & FFA barn. Get up close with the animals in the Great American Petting Zoo. And of course, there are carnival rides—more than two dozen! Climb aboard the Ex-Scream Machine for a thrilling trip over the tracks. Or try the Freak Out, towering 70 feet high. For the littles there are fun rides, too, like the Tea Cups and the Bear Affair. Are you hungry? Savor your fair favorites, including deep fried treats, funnel cakes, BBQ’s, pizzas, burgers, smoothies, ice creams, and more. However, there are healthy fair food choices on the menus! Several of food concessionaires participate in the healthy food fare at the San Mateo County Fair, a collaborative effort with the San Mateo County Public Health Nutrition. Get ready to bust a move! Included with fair admission are free celebrity concerts on the main stage in Fiesta Hall. San Mateo County Fair’s 2019 Concert Series lineup for 2019 includes: Morris Day & the Time (June 8); Air Supply (June 9) Queen Nation - A tribute to the Music of Queen (June 10) and Petty & The Heartshakers - a Tom Petty Tribute Band (June 11); Sir Mix a lot (June 12) Better than Ezra (June 13); The Commodores (June 14); 98 Degrees (June 15); Dia de la Feria (June 16) Do you prefer reserved seating? Then purchase Gold Circle Admission for a reserved concert seat and early admission to the concert hall. (No Gold Circle for Dia de la Feria concert) What sets the San Mateo County Fair apart from a traditional amusement park? It’s the thousands of unique and creative exhibits entered by residents—everything from fine art, to quilts, flora and fauna, baked goods, creative DIY projects, and more. A stroll through the exhibit halls to peruse the community’s talents is a must for your fair visit. The 2019 fair is slated for June 8 – 16 and is themed "Celebrating the Best of the Bay"
