Founded in 1956 by Madame Helene Antonova, and James M. Jamieson as the Academy of the Dance, the Wilmington Ballet / Academy of the Dance has promoted excellence in dance training, for over half a century. The Wilmington Ballet Academy of the Dance faculty provides exceptional dance education to students of all ages. Academy of the Dance students have progressed to careers with American Ballet Theatre, Dance Theatre of Harlem, New York City Ballet, Martha Graham Dance Company, Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater, Royal Ballet of Flanders, Stuttgart Ballet, Washington Ballet, Boston Ballet, North Carolina Dance Theater (now Charlotte Ballet), Regional Theater, Broadway, National / International Tours, Film and TV. Since 1967, the annual performance of The Nutcracker at the Playhouse on Rodney Square in the historic Hotel duPont has provided our students the opportunity to perform with world- class professional artists and a live orchestra. Wilmington Ballet Academy of the Dance is located in the Trolley Square Neighborhood at 1709 Gilpin Avenue.

He's Lamarr Todd. He lives to make himself & others smile. He began teaching Improv as an Assistant Teacher at The People's Light & Theater Company when he was only 17. He started his comedy career at the Laffhouse Comedy Club in Philly which led him to perform at various Comedy Clubs and won standup comedy competitions in Philly. Some have said that the energy that Lamarr brings can be enough for any crowd. He is now an Improv Teacher at the Charter School in Chester, PA teaching grades 5th-8th. He directs while letting the students create the projects. A lot of his standup routine is based on his experience as a teacher. He is also a proud member of the Chester Made arts & culture project in his hometown Chester, PA which revitalizes art & culture through theatrical dialogue.

Deanna Fitzpatrick is a straight-shooting, professional Psychic Medium, who speaks from the heart. In 2001, Deanna visited a hypnotherapist for assistance with weight loss. That evening, after the hypnosis was complete, she began to see Spirit for the first time. Since that time, Deanna has been working to improve her ability to connect and help the Living come to know that their People in Spirit are very much still a part of their lives and to know that we continue on beyond our physical existence.

Prior to beginning her work as an Evidential Medium, Deanna worked in the banking industry. A series of events, starting with the hypnosis, began to show her that it was time to begin a very different life. Her husband Joe and two daughters saw this too and have been wonderfully supportive along the way.

She began to practice professionally in 2006. Deanna often recalls how nervous she was in those first years. And, is pleased to say that the anxiousness has transformed to excitement and butterflies.

In the fall of 2001, Brad Alexander launched the first ever Dueling Piano show in NYC. Every Friday and Saturday night, in the basement of O'Flaherty's Ale House on Manhattan's Restaurant Row, Brad and a small group of piano players faced off on two Casio Celviano keyboards for a four-hour singalong with an audience that grew from 10 to far beyond legal capacity.

From there the show moved through several incarnations and locales over the course of a decade, from Times Square to Virginia Beach, and eventually landed at Bar Nine in NYC, where Brad and fellow performer James Barr formed THE FLYING IVORIES.

With a rotating roster of top performers from around the country, THE FLYING IVORIES deliver an all-request, rock and roll sing-along for weddings, fundraisers, company outings, holidays, birthdays, bachelorette parties, virtual events and more.
