Bossanova Presents:
Tantric
with special guests: Silent Effect & Jon Davidson * 21 and over only with valid photo ID *Tantric is an American rock band from Louisville, Kentucky. The group was founded in 1999 by former Days of the New members. Tantric is often categorized as post-grunge and is known for its emphasis on acoustic guitar, distorted electric guitar, and multi-layered vocal harmonies. However, due to their heaviness, the band also fit in well during the early 2000s peak of alternative and nu metal. In their early career, Tantric was frequently compared to Days of the New, from which its original guitarist, bassist, and drummer derived. However, the group also gained strong comparison—and in some cases, criticism—to grunge forerunners Alice in Chains. This is by no means coincidence; famed record producer Toby Wright, who handled Tantric's first three albums, also produced two Alice in Chains albums as well as the solo debut of their principal songwriter, Jerry Cantrell. Wright is known for emphasizing multi-tracked vocal harmonies and other characteristics demonstrated in both bands.

Bossanova Presents:
U.K. Metal Legends: DIAMOND HEAD
with special guests: Danava & Disenchanter * 21 and over only *Diamond Head were one of the first new wave of British Heavy Metal bands and were poised for success from the very beginning. Sounds (and later Kerrang!) journalist Geoff Barton even proclaimed that "there are more good riffs in a single Diamond Head song than there are in the first four Black Sabbath albums."

Signed to MCA Records, they were hyped as "the new Led Zeppelin," yet after two albums on that label (the latter, Canterbury, a very expensive production), they were still not playing big stages. MCA Records dropped them and they split up for the first time in 1985.

They got some major recognition after Metallica covered their songs (to this day, Metallica have covered an album's worth of Diamond Head songs), and then Lars Ulrich featured them (twice) on his New Wave of British Heavy Metal '79 Revisited compilation.

They reunited in 1991 with a good label deal and a new album featuring guest appearances by Tony Iommi and Dave Mustaine, yet success still largely escaped them.

They broke up again in 1994 and reformed in 2002 with Brian Tatler as the sole original member.

Diamond Head (Lçʻahi) is the name of a dormant volcanic cone on the Hawaiian island Oʻahu, but the band got the idea from a Phil Manzanera album of the same name.

Reagan Youth
with Cliterati, Nokmim and 13 Scars.Reagan Youth is a political hardcore punk band that embraces "Anarchy + Peace & Unity" school of thought. Reagan Youth parodies and pokes fun at Republicanism, the Religious Right, Racists and of course: Ronald Reagan's policies. The band formed in 1980 as it became obvious that Ronald Reagan was to become America's president. The band's songs were about the evils of society and the band's name was a play on HITLER YOUTH; comparing Reagan to Hitler due to the Republican party's fascist tendencies. A loud, fast, anarchist, punk rock band that exposes the evils of society.

Bossanova Ballroom Presents:
DAYS N DAZE
with Rum Rebellion, Ground Score, Juicy Karkass

Houstonians Whitney Flynn and Jesse Sendejas formed Days N Daze as a duo in 2008. Since then, they've taken on different musicians to create a full recording and touring band. Presently, the band's rhythm section includes bassist Geoff Bell and percussionist Meagan Melancon. Flynn and Sendejas remain the band's principal songwriters. The group's sound has been described as "riot folk" or "thrashgrass." Song themes run the gamut from social (gang violence, terrorism, annihilation of the environment for corporate pocket-lining, the mundane and unavoidable anxieties of modern life, et al) to recreational (how the fuck did we end up in jail?). Days N Daze embraces the D.I.Y. ethic by recording, packaging and promoting its music independently.

DnD is best known for is its live shows, which are energetic to the point of audience members stripping their clothes off in ecstatic, music-induced jubilation (or too much PBR). The band has performed throughout the United States and Canada in venues ranging from house shows to festivals. DnD independently booked and promoted a full U.S tour with New Zealand’s Night Gaunts after their split release in 2015. They also had the privilege to tour with Leftover Crack and featured on LOC’s newest album “Constructs of the State.” On the road, DnD has played the D.I.Y. staple Mountain Blood Fest, at Skatopia's Bowl Bash, and has played multiple sold out shows across the States including New York City and Los Angeles. At home, it performs routinely at well-regarded spaces such as Walter's and Warehouse Live. The band was honored to be awarded Best Punk Act in 2015 by The Houston Press.
Days N Daze released their seventh full length album CrustFall in 2016.

BLAZE BAYLEY (former Iron Maiden vocalist)
with special guests: Perseverance, Leathurbitch * 21 and over only with valid photo ID*Blaze Bayley will be performing songs from Iron Maiden, Wolfsbane and his self named band Blaze.
Blaze Bayley was born as Bayley Alexander Cooke on 29th May 1963 in Birmingham, England. He is an English singer and songwriter, starting his professional music career as lead vocalist of WOLFSBANE in 1984. They released 4 studio and one live album together.
When Bruce Dickinson left IRON MAIDEN in 1993, Blaze was chosen as his replacement in 1994. His departure from Wolfsbane led to their disbandment later on that year. Blaze recorded two albums with IRON MAIDEN and toured with them worldwide.
In February 1999, when IRON MAIDEN announced that vocalist Bruce Dickinson was returning to the band, Blaze started his solo career.

He formed his own band, BLAZE, in March 1999. In May 2000, the debut album Silicon Messiah was released, followed up by Tenth Dimension in 2003 and Blood And Belief in 2005. In 2003, the band also recorded the live CD As Live As It Gets.
Due to changes in the lineup and management, Blaze opted to rename the band under his full name, BLAZE BAYLEY and make a new start. In February 2007, the Blaze Bayley Band got back on stage with recording the live DVD album Alive in Poland. In July 2008, the Blaze Bayley Band released their debut studio album, The Man Who Would Not Die. The band recorded another CD/DVD live at Z7, The Night That Will Not Die, which was released in March 2009. The second studio album Promise and Terror was released in February 2010.
Wolfsbane reformed and released a new album Wolfsbane saved the World. The band is still touring at festivals and in the United Kingdom.

COAT & BAG CHECK AVAILABLE - $2 PER ITEM. NO BAGS OR SKATEBOARDS ALLOWED INSIDE VENUE. YOU MUST CHECK THESE ITEMS.Israel's breakthrough band Orphaned Land – the pioneers of Oriental metal – have returned with All Is One and an in-your-face message for everyone to embrace:
"People should be judged by their hearts and inner sincerity, not their religious beliefs."
Orphaned Land won Metal Hammer award for "Global Metal Band of the Year 2014.
In 2017, original Genesis’ guitarist, Steve Hackett called Kobi Farhi. He was looking for artists that work for peace between people, and unsurprisingly, he chose ‘Orphaned Land.’ The two sides immediately clicked and started collaborating. Together with highly acclaimed Israeli- Arab singer, Mira Awad, Farhi sings on Hackett’s album, The Night Siren and on the song, “West to East.” Later on, Hackett continued to work with Orphaned Land and recorded a guitar solo for the band’s new album, to be released by the end of 2017.
Fans started an online petition in 2012 to nominate Orphaned Land for the coveted Nobel Prize. Many metal fans felt strongly about the band's commitment to inviting the Arab world to listen to their music in spite of resistance and outright bans from Arab League countries. Thousands of people from all over the world have since signed the petition.
"I could never imagine in my wildest imagination that one day an Israeli band would be followed by thousands of Muslims from all over the world," says frontman Kobi Farhi, noting that Orphaned Land are the proud recipients of four Peace Awards issued by their Turkish brethren. "If we do a show in Istanbul, Turkey - which is the only Muslim country where we're allowed to play - people come all the way from Iran, Egypt, Lebanon and Jordan just to see us. These are enemies that are fighting each other coming to see us as one group of people. I'd say that historically the Jews and Arabs are brothers because we are all descendants of Abraham, but the conflict and the differences are so big that we've forgotten that. Discovering the fact that our music is the instrument to remind people that we are all one is shocking to me. I never imagined that blood enemies would open their eyes because of it."
The album All Is One was mixed by the critically acclaimed Jens Bogren (Kreator, Amon Amarth, James LaBrie, Devin Townsend Project, Opeth) and was recorded in three different countries: Israel, Turkey and Sweden. Ironically, countries that are Jewish, Muslim and Christian respectively, which strengthens the Orphaned Land message of unity through music. Over 40 musicians were used to flesh out the sound of All Is One, including 25 choir singers and 8 classical violin, viola and cello players from Turkey. Farhi, for his part, considers All Is One "the greatest album we've made to date."
