Can we just agree that there are not enough pockets on things? Where are you supposed to keep your measuring tape, phone, flask, and googly eyes when your hands are busy with a project? Well, worry no longer! In this Sewing 102 class, you’ll make your very own custom work apron, perfectly suited for holding your various contraband. And when we say custom, we mean custom. You’ll have your choice of style (cross back, full body, or half apron); soft cotton straps that you’ll cut to size, in a few different colors; a choice of two to five pockets; and a variety of canvases, denims, and other fabrics. We’ll also have samples in class that you can try on to determine whether you need to adjust the size of the base pattern, because these aprons are size inclusive and fit any size from an XS to a 4XL. Once your apron is sewn up, you’ll be ready to take on all of your projects with your pocketed contraband close at hand!
Some specific skills learned in this class include:
- Adjusting a simple pattern
- Sewing pockets
- Using a hand held grometer
- Working with canvas, denim & thicker fabrics

If you have questions about the sewing skill level required by this class, please email us.
