Sue McLean & Associates is proud to present Todd Snider, one of the most beloved country-folk singers in the country. In the nineties, he had a top forty hit with âTalking Seattle Grunge Rock Blues,â which gave national audiences the first taste of his brilliantly insightful songwriting voice. Since the release of the 2004 album East Nashville Skyline, Sniderâs star really started to rise. Hailed by critics as one of the top albums of the year, East Nashville Skyline was followed by The Devil You Know and The Excitement Plan. Sniderâs songs took on George W. Bush (âYou Got Away With Itâ) and Americaâs recent fascination with foreign war (âMission Accomplishedâ), along with a host of more intimate topics: married love, devotion to old friends, memories of foolish youth. As good as Sniderâs albums have beenâand heâs been compared to Bob Dylan, Tom Petty, John Prine, and dozens of other household namesâhis in-concert monologues are even better. Sniderâs newest album Eastside Bulldog is due out October 9th.
A live Todd Snider show is a loose-limbed, informal experience: itâs often just him and a guitar, and he introduces his songs with stories that can stretch to as long as twenty minutes. These stories can be personal memoir, shaggy-dog comedy, rueful memories of his troubles with drugs and alcohol, or sharp-eyed observation from his years as a touring musician; no matter what the case, they display Sniderâs boundless charm and insight. As heâs allowed his storytelling to evolve along with his music, Snider has become not only a modern-day Dylan but a modern-day Will Rogers, an everyman whose intelligence, self-deprecation, experience, andâabove allâ sense of humor makes him a uniquely American character.
Online fees are assessed on a per ticket basis. No refunds or exchanges. All orders found in violation of the ticket limit will be voided without notice.
