Pie Face Girls: Reared in the basements and houses of the Raleigh punk scene, Pie Face Girls are a self-taught, self-actualized trio who make a habit of disrupting conventions. Influenced by the grinding distortion of L7 and the Melvins and the DIY showmanship of Bikini Kill and the Germs, Pie Face Girls aim to leave an impression, period.

Drag Sounds: Starting out on burgundy and then hitting the higher stuff, Drag Sounds came from North Carolina, in the South. Trevor Reece and Mike Wallace met as sidemen in a series of un-classy rock combos and questionable personal judgments. Sharing an affinity for twin guitars and loudness bliss, they got Big Star tattoos and took the road more rattled. 5 years on and more band members than two hands can count, they've gotten used to still existing, which is mostly what they know how to do. With one elbow in downtown NYC circa 1970s, long legs stalking Memphis streets and scrounging for drinks backstage at the Stones, their primitive, satisfying brand of direct rock and roll has so far been captured on two proper LPS, and seen live on stages across the American East and South. Today they team with their brother Ezra Noble on the drums, and Drag Sounds plays a new sonic for different times. Tomorrow's out of tune but we still gotta try.
