Do you want to enter the world of indigo dreams? Come and learn the beautiful and ancient Japanese resist-dyeing technique known as Shibori. In this class you will learn the basics of creating an indigo dye-bath using pre-reduced indigo crystals and Shibori techniques to generate unique patterns and designs to dye four rad napkins and your choice of either tote bag or pillow case. Each piece will be unique and unexpected and use four different patterns/ styles, so you’ll learn several styles and methods. You will use folded, tied, and bound resist techniques to create your beautiful indigo pieces. This class will be a great starter class to get you going, as well we will expand to offer more shibori projects classes in the future.
