Perfecting Practice On the Range and at Home (Dry-fire and Holster Training) w/ Chip Eberhart - August 25th
August 25, 2017
2:00 PM
2:00pm - 6:00pm
Learn effective dry-fire and live fire practice techniques. Students will be able to recognize, discuss, evaluate and assist with overcoming common pistol shooting deficiencies such as anticipating, milking, jerking the trigger, and poor trigger control techniques. Students will learn the most efficient method of drawing a concealed firearm from a holster or woman’s purse. This class is an excerpt of the POST (Police Officers Standard Training) course that Mr. Eberhart teaches to law enforcement officers and instructors.
About the Instructor: Chip Eberhart is the Master Instructor at Top Shot Academy, a former law enforcement officer, and current USPSA and IPSC competition shooter. Chip has participated and won competitions in the US as well as represented the USA in Brazil, Jamaica, and Thailand. His students include CCW carriers, police officers, police instructors, judges, prosecutors, defense attorneys, federal agents, military, and award winning competitive shooters. In his experience instructing the military, Chip has had the honor of training special units at the Norfolk Naval Base, and received a rare challenge coin from the commanding officer in recognition of his expertise in training. Chip's favorite firearm is the high tech 2011 Race Gun created especially for him by the master gunsmiths at Limcat Custom, but he feels just as comfortable shooting anything from his various carry pistols, shotguns, the AR-15 platform and everything in between. You might recognize him from one of the NRA’s “Freedom’s Safest Place” commercials or regular contributions to NRA TV.
