String Masters Series: Jonathan Vinocour, Viola

Violist Jonathan Vinocour will perform alongside Boston Conservatory at Berklee faculty members Max Levinson (piano) and Samuel Solomon (percussion) in a program including works by Michael Colgrass, George Enescu, and César Franck. Vinocour has served as principal viola of the San Francisco Symphony since 2009, and was previously principal viola of the St. Louis Symphony and guest principal viola of the Leipzig Gewndhaus Orchestra. He appeared as a soloist with the St. Louis and San Francisco symphonies and recently collaborated with Yo-Yo Ma in a performance of Strauss’s Don Quixote with New World Symphony. A dedicated teacher, he serves on the faculties of the San Francisco Conservatory of Music and the Aspen Music Festival and School.
