Join us Sunday evening as two of Moravian’s most popular ensembles perform music from across the pond. The Moravian College Celtic Ensemble, under the direction of Alison Gillespie, will present Heather and Thistle – Music from the Highlands and Lowlands of Scotland. Featuring fiddles, flutes, whistles, bagpipes, piano, guitars, and achingly beautiful vocals, the ensemble will bring Outlander to life with authentic, well-loved and time-tested Scottish melodies and songs. The Moravian College Guitar Ensemble will perform Music from Spain! Works by Gaspar Sanz, Isaac Albeniz, Francisco Tarrega, Enrique Granados, and traditional Flamenco will be represented in solo, duo, and ensemble combinations.
