Piano Masters Series: Alexander Kobrin

This date was originally scheduled to host Stanislav Ioudenich, who had to cancel due to personal injury. Since winning Gold Medal in the coveted Van Cliburn International Piano Competition in 2005, Russian pianist Alexander Kobrin has established himself around the world as an artist of uncommon pianisim and intense musical integrity. Recent concert triumphs include the New York Philharmonic, Tokyo Philharmonic, English Chamber Orchestra and the Russian National Orchestra.
Beethoven: Sonata in E minor, op. 90
Beethoven: Sonata in A Major, op. 101
Schumann: Symphonic Etudes, Op. 13
Mr Kobrin will also give the piano master class on March 7, 2017. 4-6 pm in Seully Hall; this event is free and open to the public.
