Guess what guys: our resident Pickle Queen also knows how to jam! In this class, Kelly McVicker of McVicker Pickles will teach you how to turn fresh fruit into incredible jams to fill your pantry or pass on to your loved ones as handmade holiday gifts.
You will learn how to produce a seasonal jam from start to finish, and you will learn how to safely use a water bath canning process at home. (Kelly has been canning since she was tall enough to reach the kitchen counter, and she can answer all your food preservation related questions and put any lingering fears to rest!) You will walk out with at least one jar of the jam that you canned in class, the recipe to produce the jam at home, and the knowledge to can your entire haul from the farmer’s market.
Since the holidays are fast approaching, we will batch everything in small jars perfect for gifting!
