In this new class, we combine the elements of SewIng 101, Sewing 102 and a fun project. Learn basic sewing skills including how to cut fabric, how to use a simple pattern, and how to perform a few different stitches. You will also learn how to operate a sewing machine. You will walk out having finished at least three simple projects including a koozie for a can. Then you can move on to learning about the ins and outs of fabric and fabric grain, proper cutting techniques, how to create and sew buttonholes using the sewing machine buttonhole feature, how to install basic zippers, and other handy skills for basic garment construction, and then will make a tote bag. Perfect for that SF 10 cent bag ordinance and a great simple first project that wont terrify you. This is an intensive class that will last all day with a 30 minute lunch break- show up alert and leave the hangovers at home- after all this is bootcamp guys!
