Sewing Bootcamp For Beginners: All Day Sewing Camp & Tote Bag Project
July 15, 2017
11:00 AM
In our most popular sewing class, we cover all elements of Sewing 101, add in some advanced skills, and include a few fun projects to help you get some practice! Learn basic sewing skills including how to cut fabric, use a simple pattern, perform a few different stitches, as well as the ins and outs of fabric and fabric grain, proper cutting techniques. You will also learn how to operate a sewing machine. You will walk out having finished several simple projects including, drawstrings, pockets, buttonholes, buttons, hidden zippers, and finally, a tote bag (Perfect for that SF 10 cent bag ordinance and a great simple first project that wont terrify you!) All of these are handy skills for basic garment construction. This is an intensive class that will last all day with a 30 minute lunch break, so show up alert and leave the hangovers at home. After all, this is bootcamp guys!
