Don't miss Cary's annual event celebrating the African-American experience. The 22nd African American Celebration scheduled for March 3-4 will focus on the life and journalism career of Cary citizen Cash Michaels. The event entitled “A Special Tribute to Cash Michaels-Reflections of a Journalists Life,” will be held at The Cary Theater in downtown Cary and is sponsored by the Town of Cary and the Ujima Group, Inc. Events are free but tickets are required.

Saturday, March 4

6pm Public Reception

7pm “The Invisible Line Between Journalism and Activism” An evening featuring an intimate one-on-one interview with Cash Michaels about his life and career followed by a performance by jazz vocalist Eve Cornelious.

Separate tickets are needed for each night.

Free tickets left at Will Call may be picked up at The Cary Box Office beginning one hour prior to the event.
