Warren Lasch Conservation Center - Hunley

FORMER CHARLESTON NAVAL BASE, 1250 SUPPLY ST.
N. CHARLESTON, SC
UNITED STATES
In 1864, the H.L. Hunley became the first submarine to sink an enemy warship. Unfortunately, before she could return home, the sub disappeared with her eight-man crew off Sullivan's Island, S.C. Her fate was a mystery until she was discovered in 1995 by a diving expedition led by author Clive Cussler. Five years later, the vessel was lifted from the ocean floor and brought to the Warren Lasch Conservation Center in North Charleston, S.C. where a team of scientists are working to conserve the historic submarine for future generations. The Warren Lasch Conservation Center is a working lab, so Friends of The Hunley can only conduct tours on the weekends only. Tickets for this historic event are on sale now! For more information about the H.L. Hunley, please call the Friends of The Hunley at 843-743-4865. To order tickets by phone call 1-866-866-9938 PLEASE NOTE TICKETS ARE ONLY AVAILABLE FOR SALE 24 HOURS IN ADVANCE OF THE SHOWS. THERE ARE NO DAY OF PHONE SALES.
