Wind Symphony is UNCW’s premiere symphonic band and its members consist of music students in the Department of Music and students university-wide. Conducted by Dr. John P. LaCognata, the Wind Symphony strives to create the highest level of musical communication possible through the performance of the wind band repertoire.

The Kenan Auditorium box office opens one hour prior to performance. Advance tickets are not available.

UNCW Kenan Auditorium, located on the campus of The University of North Carolina Wilmington. The 1,016-seat Kenan Memorial Auditorium is the largest performing arts venue at UNCW and in the Wilmington area. It is home to over 170 events per year, including performances by the North Carolina Symphony, Carolina Ballet, Wilmington Symphony Orchestra, Wilmington Youth Orchestra, Moscow Ballet, Theatre Arts for Youth, and Chamber Theatre of Boston as well as a wide range of acclaimed performers presented by organizations such as the Wilmington Concert Association, Cape Fear Jazz Society, UNCW Presents and the UNCW Office of Cultural Arts.
