“Failure Redefined” by Ric Elias Red Ventures Co-Founder and CEO at 7:00 p.m., Wednesday, April 29, in the Duke Family Performance Hall, Knobloch Campus Center on the Davidson College campus. Ric's leadership style has earned him noteworthy recognition and in 2011, he was named an Ernst & Young National Entrepreneur of the Year. Elias is cited as aspiring to create the “Google of the East Coast” within his company’s culture and facilities. His inspirational views on both business and family have been featured on CNN, TED Talks and MSNBC. Ric is also a survivor of the “Miracle on the Hudson” Flight 1549, an event which drastically changed his life and led to his widely viewed TED Talk “3 Things I Learned While My Plane Crashed.”
This lecture is a joint Chidsey Leadership Lecture and Nesbit Entrepreneurship Lecture and is intended to highlight approaches to leadership that enable people to make a transformational impact.
