Pizzashop: Making the Perfect Dough & Grilled Pizzas from Scratch

Wish you could create gourmet fresh pizzas like the pros? Jealous you can't toss dough like those guys in the window of the pizza shop? Want to learn one of the most affordable dinner parties you can sling on a grill (or oven) that will have your friends ooohing and aaahhing? With this special dinner and a class combo- Oliver Piazza (yes it sounds way too much like pizza not to point out) will show you how to create the perfect pies from start to finish. We'll start by showing you how to create fresh dough from scratch- knead it and whip it up at home for a quick turn around time. Then we'll show you the secrets to tossing it or working out a great crust (no more thick bad crusts you goofed on with TJ’s dough at home). Next we move onto making a great sauce, prepping a slew of ingredients, preparation of the grills and creating great recipes. You'll toss those puppies on the BBQ and learn how to properly cook pizza on charcoal grills so you can tote your skills to the park easy as pie. You'll make one pizza per person, which of course you get to eat. The best part of class is the pizza party at the end, complete with some salads you whip up in class and we'll even have an ice cold beer or a wine for you too. So this class includes dinner!
Supplies needed: Feel free to bring an apron and we welcome aprons & all refreshments for the very difficult pizza party portion of class.
Teacher bio: Oliver Piazza is a long time pizza fanatic, gourmet cook and can bust some major movies to any oldies and Motown. Oliver grew up working in high end restaurants in Philadelphia and relocated to SF six years ago working at awesome spots like Delfina Pizzeria, Quince and is now part owner of Dear Mom. Oliver is one of our most loved teachers, is a ton of fun and well, makes a mean drink as well. (Feel free to bring some wine or cocktails to class)
