CHILDREN AGES 1 & UP REQUIRE A TICKET
This is a band whose members and instruments are locally grown! The Gourd Orchestra plays its own brand of Paleolithic lounge music - mixing past with present, rhythm with melody, and chaos with order. A band of musicians with dirt under their fingernails - they put the 'cult' back into culture, and 'culture' back into agriculture.
*Travel advisory: Even with the Richmond Marathon going on, Richmond CenterStage’s Libby S. Gottwald Playhouse will be accessible, in arriving and departing our Saturday morning performance. The best arrival route (between 9 and 10 AM) will be via 7th Street, from the Downtown Expressway (I-195). Departures via 6th and 7th Streets, as well as eastbound Broad St. (heading towards I-95) will be back in business as of 10 AM. For more questions, please call us at (804) 592-3400.
